Trade first overall? (1 Viewer)

I've got the first pick in a 12 team snake draft. The guy at the turn offered me his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th for the #1 overall. That would be pick 1, 193, and 216 for picks 13, 36, and 37. Seems like a tough one to pass up, but was curious if others agree.

what kind of league?  Redraft, keeper, dynasty??   I am on the fence here.

Agree with the above that it depends on what kind of league.  If it's a keeper league, it would depend on what kind of keepers I have.  If I have solid keepers and McCaffrey or Cook could win me the league, I'd stay where you are.

If it's redraft, I could go either way.  The trade would give you 5 of the first 37 picks.  There are some quality players in there that can easily give you a good shot at winning your league.  If I were offered the trade in a redraft league, I would take it, but I like quantity over quality as long as the quality isn't dropping too far down.  I would be constantly analyzing the trade to decide whether I did the right thing or not though. From a fellow Cincinnati sufferer, constantly questioning your team's moves and bracing for the worst is all you know how to do. lol.

So if I understand this correctly, you are losing your 1st round pick, and two picks way later in the draft (16th and 18th round?) and getting a 2nd, 3rd and 4th?  Your first pick becomes the 13th overall.  So your start with 2.01, 2.12, 3.01, 3.12, 4.01, and 4.12

The trade (based on ADP from FBG) is CMC/Colt D/ Valdez-Scantling for Aaron Jones/Mahomes/Lockett.

Your team after 4 rounds would look like this based on ADP:  Jones/Keenan Allen/Allen Robinson/Mahomes/Lockett/Kareem Hunt

Your team without the trade would be:  CMC/Keenan Allen/ Allen Robinson/Hunt

I think I like the team after the trade.  I pull the trigger.

I didn't see if the OP answered if it is a redraft league but if it is, I would 100% make this trade. I think he definitely maximizes his position and only gives up a little bit. Really big offer.

I think I do this if it is a redraft or dynasty startup. You take the possible hit in points from the 1st pick (assuming RB) moving back to 13, but you have additional flexibility to fill out your roster with those additional 2 picks in the top 4 rounds.
