Trade for 1.15 (1 Viewer)

16 Team Dynasty League.    .05 PPR   4pts PTD

Starting lineups are QB-2RB-3WR-TE-WRT no def or kicker

I have picks 1.05, 2.02, 2.05, and 3.07. Other team has 1.06, 1.15, and 3.06

Looking to trade Mattison and 2.05 for his 1.15

My RB's are Jackson-SD   Mattison-Min   Murray-NO   Sanders-PHIL

My WR's are   Erickson-CIN,  Gage-AT,  Reynolds-LAR,  Sanders-NO,  and Stills-HOU

His RB's are Cook-Min,  Fournette-Jac, and KJohnson-DET

His WR's are Adams-GB,  Godwin-TB,  AJ Green,  Deebo Samuel, and Thielen-MIN

I feel that moving up from 2.05 to 1.15 puts me hopefully in play for receivers like Shenault, Higgens, Pittman, and Aiyuk.

Considering the Cook situation it seems to be a positive move for Mattison.

I want to keep 2.02 because I'd belooking at WR Bryan Edwards.

There are some QB needy teams in our league so I figure both Burrows and Tua should be gone which would move my 1.15 to 1.13.

I appreciate your input because my team has been mire i n the bottom half of the league.

I traded QB Wilson for Rivers so I could move to 1.05. I really need a RB. With no chance for the playoff I felt it was a risk worth taking.

My other QB is Darnold.

Thanks again    Bill

IMO, I would try it.  the value is pretty even...  and if the other owners counters looking for your 2.02, then I would just move on and keep what you have.

So you are giving up Mattison to move up 6 spots in the draft - and it's not really even that since you have pick 2.02?  I don't think I do that because of his upside.  Is there really someone that you must have at 1.15 that won't be there at 2.02 and then 2.05?  Seems like the upside to Mattison isn't worth it for that minimal upgrade.

Don't make that trade!

Right now you could potentially get that pick on it's own straight up for Mattison.

As an insurance policy the 1.15 isn't much to give up to guarantee that Vikings starting running job.

No way should you do that deal, especially with the slight potential of a Cook hold out.

You are basically giving him away for nothing and are already pretty thin at RB - it is very unlikely that any rookie RB available at 15 will give you a significant upside edge over Mattison, much less an edge over whomever you'd get at 18 or 23 anyway.

If anything if I were you I'd be leveraging the potential Cook hold out and offering the guy Mattison (as the Cook insurance/handcuff) plus something for Fournette or Kerryon or any of his WRs so that you actually are improving your team.

Mattison to pretty much move 6 spots in the draft to get 2nd tier rookie WRs?  No way.

You need to hold the Cook owner hostage.  If Cook begins any sort of holdout, Mattison's value increases exponentially.

You team really needs work, so keep players that have a chance to hit big.  Mattison is one of those players.  We've seen that he's good enough to be a solid starting RB if given the chance.  You have to hold on to that unless the Cook owner blows you away with an offer.  Moving up to 1.15 isn't that.
