Here is the trade that i was offered....

Chase Utley, David Weathers, Barry Zito

for

David Wright, Kelly Johnson, Howie Kendrick, and Dan Wheller

Kelly Johson is doing awesome right now so i want to sell high, but i think he might be able to keep it up.

Dan Wheller does not mean much to me, i have Joe Nathan, Todd Jones, and Mariano Rivera, and i would be geting Weathers who is ok. My SP sucks so Zito would help there, but i would lose a stud at 3rd base, i have Blalock that i could put at 3rd.

My lineup would look like this if i took the trade:

C: V Mart

1B Pujols

2B Utley

3B Blalock

SS Jeter

IF S Green

OF Dunn

OF Francouer

OF Pierre

Utl Matthews Jr

Utl F Lopez

I my 3B and Util spots would take a hit, and right now Kelly Johnson is doing 'better' than utely according to their rankings, any reason that Utley would not regain his head and shoulders preformance by the end of the year of 2b men?

Would you rather have Utley or Wright as a keeper?

Utley and Wright have VERY similar value IMO. Utley has the advantage of the fact that he is leaps and bounds above the other 2B. That being said, I dont like the fact that you will also be giving up another potential stud 2B in Kendrick. Id try something else for Zito.

If Kendrick was not involved how would you guys feel? Also remember i can only keep 3 batters from year to year. So Pujlos, (Wright/Utley), and Jeter would be my top 3 as of now. I will be looking to move Jeter mid season though to upgrade/get younger at my 3rd offensive keeper.

The only part of the trade you are winning is on Utley vs. Wright. Otherwise you are trading superior players to what you are receiving back at each spot. I don't think Utley is that much better than Wright, yet, to make up the difference.
