In my league this is a trade going down.
Brandon Jacobs
Anquan Boldin
*For*
Joseph Addai
Roy Williams
How would you have reacted?
a)Jacobs and Boldin is the better deal but it's fair enough to go through
b)Addai and Williams is the better deal but it's fair enough to go through
c)Jacobs and Boldin is the better deal and vote against because it's too big an advantage.
d)Addai and Williams is the better deal and vote against because it's too big an advantage.
This is a private league about 50-50 people who know each other and invites form the internet. The commissioner who is in 1st place is the team getting Jacobs and Boldin. Commissioner's friend who is in last place is getting Addai and Williams.
Like in most leagues, a few managers are vocal and some just don't post so you don't know what they're thinking. Two other managers posted and said they thought the trade was unfair. I gave this logic:
"Commissioner you are getting-
RB10 Brandon Jacobs (Y! remaining games projection 163.88)- As long as the Giants defense continues to play well, Jacobs should keep on seeing 20-odd carries on a regular basis.
WR11 Anquan Boldin (Y! remaining games projection 144.89)- If his hamstring isn't 100 percent already, there's a good chance that it will be after Arizona's Week 4 bye. He will clearly get a ton of targets given AZ pass first offense.
You are giving-
RB 20 Joseph Addai (Y! remaining games projection 136.49)- He isn't the Colt’s RB1. It looks like a pretty even split of the workload at this point with Donald Brown making them both RB1.5's. He has only averaged 12 carries over the first 3 games which isn't surprising since the Colts will always be pass first given they have Peyton.
WR30 Roy Williams (Y! remaining games projection 91.01)- Last night was better statistically for Williams than the debacle last week against the Giants, but still only got him 7.5 fantasy points. He’s not winning Tony Romo's future targets with that touchdown pass that bounced off his hands on the fade in the end zone."
I said the commissioner should cancel the trade since it seemed like a friend was helping a friend. To his credit the commissioner vetoed his own trade, but he didn't like vetoing it and said so. Suggested they redo the trade. The commissioner's friend had a chance to hear that the 3 managers posting thought it was a bad trade and could have opted to not redo. Bottom line the trade is going through.

Just eliminate trading in your league if this isn't allowed to go down.
