Trade Matt Jones/Hurns for Morris/Cooks (1 Viewer)

Non-PPR. I have Zeke so Morris would be a handcuff for me.

My other RBs are Lamar Miller, Charles Sims, and Kenneth Dixon.

Receivers are lacking with OBJ, Steve Smith, and Kevin White.

We start 3 WR, no flex

Is this a good sell high on Jones for a buy low in Cooks? What do you think?

I would rather keep Jones.  Cooks is a boom/bust guy and with the way NO spreads the ball there are way more busts than booms.  Jones is going to be a solid RB2/3 the rest of the way (as long as he is healthy).

With Kevin White gone for an extended time, that leaves my WRs as:

  • OBJ
  • Steve Smith
  • Allen Hurns
  • Robert Woods (just snagged off waivers)
According to the top 200 forward list in MyFBG, Cooks is #14 WR vs Hurns at #38 and #44. If you believe the stats that go into that, this shouldn't be a bad trade?

I like the trade for you.  Yes you give up Jones but he is your RB3 anyway.  Assuming you either start 3 WR or have a flex position, I'd rather start Cooks most weeks over Jones.  I love the idea of getting Zeke's handcuff to strengthen your team for the long term.  @Gally is right that Cooks is boom/bust but given your weakness at the WR position, he is an upgrade over Hurns and Woods.

Oops, I made a rookie mistake. We do start 3 WR, no flex position, which is why I'm looking at this trade so closely.
