Trade offered to me:Mike Lowell, Gil Meche and Phil Hughes for Miguel CabreraI realize it's probably Meche and Lowell for Cabrera. I'm not a baseballguy, but I don't see how this trade benefits me.Help please?

I'd pass. The guy offering you this deal knows he just got the best Lowell and Meche can possibly be. They'll adjust back to the norm from here on out even if they have good season they can't keep this pace up.

This is another reason I want you guys to disect the trade. This guy is famous for taking advantage of the owners who aren't the best at baseball.My spidey sense started tingling the minute I saw the email headline and who it was from.Thanks!

My opinion is that you almost never want to be on the side of the trade where you're getting 2 or more lesser-value players for one stud. He's trading up, and you're trading down. Now if it's after the All-Star break and there's some young guys w/ breakout talent in the mix and it's a dump trade, then maybe. But definitely not this deal.
