Rounders

Last year it was Jamal Lewis for me (lead me to the championship).

Who you guys targeting this year?

For me I'm trying to get T.Jones and J.Stewart. Both of them have nice schedules in the coming weeks and I think these guys can be had for a decent price.

Thomas Jones? IDK about that. May be ok for a couple of weeks, but I wouldn't expect too much. I am thinking Braylon Edwards. His owner in my league doesn't even play him anymore. May get him cheap, and I think the Browns will come out of it when they put Brady in. I would also p/u Brady if you have the roster room.

Funny, I was considering what to do about D. Williams, but you are looking to buy Stewart?

I've been trying to get Marshawn Lynch in a couple leagues for over a week now. I'm hoping that, since he didn't have a great week this week, his price might have dropped a bit. If his schedule is indicative of future performance, he should be golden down the stretch.

I've got Warner/Eli/Big Ben at QB, and the team with Larry Fitzgerald is weak at QB and his bench is a waste, so I've got an offer he's mulling over, so far so good, involving Big Ben to him and Fitz to me, among others of course.

We play each other this week, so the deal won't happen until after our game.

Willie Parker...with Mendenhall going down Parker should see a lot of carries in the coming weeks. He has a tough end of year schedule (Ravens - Week 15, Titans - Week 16), but the Steeler offense should be potent enough for him to get enough goal line looks to score reasonably well during those weeks.

Trying to acquire:

Jonathan Stewart (hopefully DWill scared owners down quite a bit)

Willis McGahee (he'll keep getting more and more, personally I think the TD's will still be in the 5-8 range from here on)

Anquan Boldin (out another week then bye)

Braylon Edwards (value can't get lower)

Big Ben - shoulder injury had his owners concerned, but after a big week is probably too expensive now.

Heap - shouldn't cost much, I like him in a dynasty

Braylon - I like, but his owners still like him in my dynasty leagues

Donovan McNabb, he had a rough game against the Skins and hasn't really exploded since week 1. I think he'll be huge once Curtis gets back, maybe top-5.

Ryan Grant, I still think he's a buy right now. I'd be trying to make sure I got him before the Indy game.

Vincent Jackson, Gates is banged up and now Chambers is too. Jackson has been very close to some big scores only to have Rivers just miss him. I'm of the belief that gets ironed out and V-Jax makes a run at the top-20. I'd rather have him than Chambers.

Tony Scheffler, he's likely out for a week or 4, but he seems like a guy who could be a nice stash for a run down the stretch. Ideal target for dynasty leaguers.

Just acquired V Jackson with Plex in a deal (the threat of NFL Suspension made him sell low). I am asking the Lynch owner what the cost would be for a deal (I offered Bowe). He has Grant, CJ3, Slaton & Lynch.

I can see McNabb improving, but with Westy out, how can they pass effectively when they offense can not run? If scoring penalizes INT, I think McNabb won't climb as much.

How about players like Kevin Walters, Cotchery & Holt?

T Jones does not look like he has the speed to hit the holes, beside Brett wants to throw!!

Holt can only go up from where he is so far.

As teams double & triple cover AJ, Kevin Walters might be a good depth pickup.

My thoughts:

** QB:

- Brees - he's going to have a high price tag, but if you have depth, he may be obtainable - actually just sent a proposal: Send-->McNabb/TO/Tampa to Get--> Brees/Chicago/throwaway - he already declined McNabb/Housh for Brees (looks like overpaying a bit, but have lots of WR depth with TO/Fitz/Wayne/Housh/Royal due to trading and can only play 2 -can flex to 3- anyway)

** RB:

- R. Brown - looks to have a Top-3 Rush Defense schedule ahread of him and coming on bigtime.

- MJD - has had lots of disappointment, but a Top-10 Rush Defense schedule and some OL returning should help. Can get fairly cheap if you want to invest in future returns.

- Forte - another favorable top-7 Rush schedule, and playoffs look decent. Owners not likely to not give him up due to "ego" factor in that they don't want to move one of their draft "gems" - similar to Chris Johnson owner mentality (I'm one of them!). But he still seems to be not getting as much hype as other rookies.

-Chris Johnson - similar to Forte with an even better overall schedule - some playoff concerns with Pitt in Week 16, but he could still have success against them. Has the Whale to cut into TD's and carries.

** WR:

-Boldin/Fitz - moreso Boldin, for value with his injury. Arizona's Pass Defense schedule looks really juicy and they look to have a lot of success come playoff time vs. STL, MIN, and NE (weather needs to be taken into account).

-Cotchery/Coles - for what you can get them for - though probably a little inflated right now. Another favorable schedule with SF, BUF, SEA in the playoffs.

I like the Jax running game going forward. They have 5 great matchups left with Denver, Cleveland, Cinci, Detroit, Houston, Indy. I just made a trade that included Fred Taylor strictly to play the matchups.

:thumbup: McNabb avoids INT's better than any QB in the NFL with the exception of Brady.Torry Holt is a guy I forgot, good call there. I could see Holt really hitting stride now that Linehan is gone, it was clear they weren't anywhere near being on the same page. That whole Rams team I think will improve with Linehan gone. In a dynasty league, I think Donnie Avery could be a good target as well.

I did the same exact thing as you last year. I even posted on these boards how Jamal was a great buy low and I traded for him and the guy basically saved my season and got me to the championship game. This year I also thought Thomas Jones fit that profile perfectly. As a matter of fact I even started a "Buy Low" thread on Jones in which alot of people ripped me about. I traded Laveranues Coles for him 2 weeks ago (before the 3 TD game) so that deal isnt looking as good anymore but I still think hes a great buy low opportunity.

No doubt he is looking good and he has a great schedule and the mother of all playoff schedules but...anyone worried about him getting injured?

I'd be more worried about the asking price injuring my brain. Can't imagine it's anywhere near the reasonable range after the last two games.

i would agree with this though i wonder if it's a week or two late. still, parker owners may be getting antsy especially if they are losing games.

Funny, I was considering what to do about D. Williams, but you are looking to buy Stewart?
How much would you like to wager that DWill shows up on Fool's Gold this week?
It's only fools gold though if you are expecting 32 FF points a week from Deangelo, which nobody reasonably would looking at the 2008 5-game sample. I have a hard time generally describing that game as 'fools gold' in any way that suggests this is not indicative of what Deangelo will do in games that he gets 20 carries. In fact, the KC game was entirely consistent with DW's 5 YPC average over his limited career, and his proven ability to break off the big play on a consistent basis.

Nobody looking to buy a Tomlinson, huh? :angry:
I think you should. He has some great matchups at the end. You risk 1) he doesn't get over this toe and 2) the offense keeps diving low. But I like his matchups as we close the year.I have FWP, MJD and Addai in leagues - people keep lowballing me or trying to selling me on guys like at inflated values. I just hold steady. The one league I am really struggling with, not a trade offer. Kinda weird - someone usually sees if they can get a panic buy from me.

Nevertheless, his fantasy production has been next to nil in most every meaningful game since he came in the league. Last year he was pretty tough the last few games and ripped off a 75 yarder middle of the season. Other than that pretty much nothing.This year it has been almost nothing except for this game against the pitiful Chiefs. I'm not trying to disrespect the guy because he is a decent RB but couldn't just about anyone have scored a couple of those TD's this weekend? He was basically untouched and really didn't have to do anything other than run to the endzone.

He will probably have more touches this year than ever before but will it translate into fantasy production?

Oh and he is at the top of the Fool's Gold list this week.

Oh and I DO own Stewart. :angry:

You misunderstood me. I'm looking to sell my Tomlinson. No one in my league is biting yet. I'm on a forced hold.I would take the TO offer above fo sho.Nothing all that wrong with Tomlinson, he's not crippling my team and sure he gets the ball plenty. But man, if I wanted Fred Taylor I would have drafted Fred Taylor. And not first overall.Sorry for venting.

All well and good, but I find in my league most owners won't budge on big names guys. No matter how they are performing most won't deal easy just based on the name...

That's a funny way to look at it - I think Taylor is outproducing him too..... :lmao: I would consider the TO/LT trade as well, though again I think he will bounce back later on....

I'm trying to get Maroney as a 4th RB. Things are pretty muddled in NE right now but I think there might be a point down the stretch when they need to lean on their run game.

For what its worth, I just got offered Ronnie Brown and Bulger for McNabb and Derrick Ward....jumped on it like a drunk 20 year old in the bar at 3am!!! :excited: I have Eli as my backup, so now my RB corps consists of Westy, Reggie Bush, Ronnie Brown and Felix Jones.. problem is my WR's I have Cotchery,Holt, Driver, Hilliard, Randel el... looks like I need to move one of those RB's for a serious upgrade at WR...

A guy you could probably get off the WW, Bulger. Especially for Brady owners, he's got QB1 potential going forward.

he's got a hellacious schedule the next three week, where his value will probably be around a ham sandwich, but after that he's got some nice match ups, especially for the playoff run.

@Washington

Dallas

@New England

Arizona

@N.Y. Jets

@San Francisco

Chicago

Miami

@Arizona

Seattle

San Francisco

@Atlanta

He's coming off the bye where interim coach, Jim Haslett, will most certainly cater the playbook to lean on his play makers to help him become the head coach next year.

My post week 4 target- Tomlinson, aquired.

My post week 4 target- Andre Johnson, aquired.

My post week 5 target- Sproles, aquired.

My post week 5 target- Ocho Cinco, aquired.

coming up..

My post week 8 target- Ronnie Brown.

Ocho Cinco
I'll give you Crappo Stinko if you give me a Mocha FrappacinoAs for targets: Kellen Winslow in TE-required PPR leagues where I probably am starting LJ Smith or Zach Miller or some other lame TE. In non-PPR leagues, I think Earnest Graham is a definite buy if you can get him cheap. Dude has been quietly rock solid, and looks to continue to be so.

TJ will be one of the hottest RB's the remainder of the season, IMO. CAKE schedule coming up..Favre has a grasp on that offense now..

lol, sounds good :goodposting: If you're looking to buy at the lowest possible price, really how much lower can Ocho go? What you would have to give up to trade for him is probably nothing at this point and he has the potential to do a lot more. Pretty low risk IMO and the perfect trade target if you got guys wasting your roster space.

Trying to move Edge/Royal/Calvin/TE for Grant/Marshall/stiffWR/Gates.....

McNabb/Calvin/TE for Brees/Meachem/Winslow.....

Edge/Royal for LT2....

So, trying to aquire players like Grant, Gates, Winslow, LT2 for the most part. Braylon seems like a nice buy too on the cheap possibly.

If you dont have a great QB look at Schaub and Campbell - both have great schedules down the stretch - I am trying to load up on Texans!
