Both our teams have been sucking - he was basically looking to shake it up.

:D You got ### raped. Thats not buying low
 . You received a buy low candidate but you also traded away a buy low candidate. In addition to that, you gave away Delgado (not exactly chump change) and Glavine (who looks to be a very solid fantasy pitcher playing for the Mets). In my mind, this isn't even close.

Disagree. I don't really think I "bought low", but I'm happy with the deal. Manny and Delgado are definitely solid, but the amount of points Pujols can put up with just one spot in your starting lineup is invaluable, IMO.My old lineup:C - Generic crappy Catcher1B - Delgado2B - WeeksSS - Tejada3B - Chavez/BlalockLF - MannyCF - SizemoreRF - IchiroDH - DunnNew lineup:C - Generic crappy Catcher1B - Pujols2B - WeeksSS - Tejada3B - Chavez/BlalockLF - DunnCF - SizemoreRF - IchiroDH - Baldelli/Granderson/SexsonI think it's a definite upgrade.Glavine is a nice player, but not a lot of strikeouts - he's decent if he gets the W but is useless if he gets a L or even No Decision. I picked him up from waivers two weeks ago. I'm okay with losing him.

:lmao: I guess I'm a friggin sucker!!!

I guess I should've came her first. :wall:

Anyway - I'm happy with it. Pujols is incredibly valuable in this league - he outscored Ortiz by about 50 points last season, and the 3rd guy buy about 90 total points and he MISSED TIME. It's impossible to get that kind of production out of one spot. To me its like trading for LT - if you can do it, you DO it.

Buttttt yeah whatever. Maybe I got ripped off, that's fine. :banned:

Well it would have helped had you told us the rest of your lineup :lmao: . Given your depth, I would now change my stance and say that it was a good trade for you. I don't think downgrading from Manny to Dunn is a huge deal and you have serviceable DH as well.

But you cant ignore the fact that he still lost a top pitcher. While Glavine may not get many K's he will get 15-18 wins, have a 3+ ERA, and a low WHIP.

a) I don't consider Glavine a "top pitcher" anymore. He was great for the first half of last season too, but faded, as 40+ pitchers will do.b) This is a H2H points league, ERA and WHIP are useless. We get 10 points per W, and I agree he'll get at least 15 W's, but he doesn't do much else in this scoring system - when he gets a win, it's usually with 12 or 13 total points per W.

Huh? Glavine was still a top 40 pitcher last year, no?What are the your other scoring peramiters for pitchers? There are usually some points given for innings pitched, complete games, and maybe even quality starts.Maybe it would help if you let us know who else(pitchers) is on your roster?....maybe you didn't really need Glavine, much like how you didn't really need Delgado.
