after the trading deadline, what is the first day that trades can occur again?

also, im in a keeper league that requires keepers to be announced by the end of week 17. ive agreed to a trade of one of my players for a draft pick before the week 17 deadline, but the commish seems to think that that means i need to select that player as a keeper. thoughts on this?

Feb. 27, 2009 - NFL Trading Period Starts In our leagues no trading can start until after the NFL draft I believe. I'm confused when was your trade deadline??If you plan on trading that player in the offseason then yes he must be a keeper
