Trading for D. Brees? (1 Viewer)

Brees owner has indicated he is "on the block"

12 team 0.5 PPR

My Team:   Start (Bench)

QB:  D. Watson, (Luck)

RB:  Bell, D. Martin, (A. Morris)

WR/T:  Hopkins, Baldwin, (Garcon, C. Davis)

Flex:  McCaffery and Kelce (flip a coin)

Brees owner has Jordy and M. Lynch - so could use WR and RB help.

I love Watson but don't like his playoff schedule (other than week 14).   Brees much better and I think he'll get better while Watson may regress.

Thoughts on who or what I can offer for Brees?   McCaffery or Martin too much?  Kelce?

Thanks in advance

I don't know if Brees is a massive upgrade from Watson. I don't think Watson throws 3-4 TDs each time out, but you're essentially adding depth at a position where you don't really have a massive need. I saw someone posted on Twitter that the Saints have the easiest RB schedule the rest of the way. If that proves to be the case, I can't imagine Payton would ask Brees to sling it all that much. They have a two-headed monster in Ingram and Kamara that will likely cap his production the rest of the way. And there's no way I'd give CMC, Martin or Kelce for Brees. RB is a huge position of need for most teams, so I'd use that depth to your advantage. And Kelce is arguably the best TE in the league. Unless you're getting Brady, I wouldn't consider moving any of those pieces. You have a solid team at the moment; no need to mess with success.

I would stay where you are at. Any regression you get in the TD area can still be offset somewhat by his rushing ability which provides you a solid floor of production. Considering the talent at WR and the backfield as well, it's hard to say you'll be gaining much by parting with RB depth - especially as you head towards a pretty heavy bye week.

You don't have enough ammo to buy Brees, IMO, and the cost will be too steep and leave you hurting elsewhere.  Keep what you have

Thanks for replies.

Should mention we start

2 RB

1 WR

1 WR/TE

1 Flex (WR/RB/TE)

So at this point I always have 2 startable options on the bench each week.

Yeah, I'd stay put. You'd have to become deficient at one of your other positions to do it. Unless you can package Watson and say your least favorite Flex (probably Kelce - is he hurting at TE?) for Brees and someone slightly lesser than Kelce (maybe someone he's down on that you're high on)

Please see mine:

No one is hurting for TE's since in our league we don't have a position for them.   But they can be played in 2 positional roster spots.   Kelce has been starting for me probably 4 out of 7 weeks.

Thanks for the feedback
