Trading LT (1 Viewer)

Anyone giving up on Tomlinson and trading him?

If so, what'd you get?

Trying to decipher what I should offer.

I'm trying to trade him straight-up for TO. I have some pretty gaping holes at receiver, so if the other owner agrees to the trade, I'll shake hands and never look back.

(Unless LT goes 127 yards/3 touchdowns in his next game. Then I will look back. And cry, probably.)

In my 2-player keeper league, LT was traded for RBrown straight-up.

It'll be interesting to see how this deal turns out going forward.

I think those days are over.

Prior to week 4, I traded away LT2/Griese/Winslow for JAX/Cutler/Scheffler.

Pre-trade:

Bob Griese/Matt Cassell/Matt Hasselbeck

LT2/Larry Johnson/Ryan Grant/Jonathan Stewart

Brandon Marshall/Reggie Wayne/Dwayne Bowe/Lee Evans/Vincent Jackson

Kellen Winslow/Owen Daniels

Matt Prater

Ravens/Giants

Post-trade:

Jay Cutler/Matt Cassell/Matt Hasselbeck

JAX/Larry Johnson/Ryan Grant/Jonathan Stewart

Brandon Marshall/Reggie Wayne/Dwayne Bowe/Lee Evans/Vincent Jackson

Owen Daniels/Tony Scheffler

Matt Prater

I traded D Anderson LT and McGhee for A Rodgers S Jackson and 2 2nd rd picks in a dynasty league back in week 3

Seems like a lot of LT dealers are going after S. Jax.
Makes sense to me. If you're trading LT, there's only a handful of RBs who would make it worth your while, unless you're looking to make a 3 or 4 for 1 type deal. Jackson is a decent buy low right now.The RBs I'd look for in a deal if I were to trade LT:ADJacksonLynchPortisMJDRonnie BrownMcFaddenStewertForteCJ3Now, AD, Lynch, Brown, and the rookies probably are too highly priced to make this worthwhile. Which leaves Jackson, MJD, and Portis.

traded him in two leagues

traded LT for Braylon and an 09 first (the first is from a 1-4 team who did NOT receive LT in the deal and i have MJD, Jacobs, McFadden at RB)

traded LT for MJD/Wayne

16-team, DEEP (45-man rosters) dynasty IDP league that weights scoring a little towards WR's and TE's and away from RB's with PPR, and that doesn't allow you to substitute any other players for WR's in your lineup (you start 3):

I gave up:

Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC RB;

Suisham, Shaun WAS PK;

Hillenmeyer, Hunter CHI LB (Suisham and Hillenmeyer were to throw-ins to clear roster space);

I got:

Stanton, Drew DET QB;

Jones, James GBP WR;

Rosario, Dante CAR TE;

Year 2009 Round 1 Draft Pick;

Year 2009 Round 3 Draft Pick;

Year 2009 Round 3 Draft Pick

My team is really not competitive with some serious talent and injury issues at various spots. I think on the proverbial open market, LT could have gotten more in trade and I was criticized for that, but I'm concerned about him getting more and more injuries and that hurting his value, and the extra 10-30 points he was getting me each week even when he's healthy and hitting on all cylinders are wasted on my roster when I'm losing by 50+ points.

I at least cashed out LT at more or less the height of his value.

I actually just pulled off the trade for SJax, MJD, and Steve Smith. I gave up LT, D. Williams, and Edwards.Can't complain. Even if LT were playing well I still like that trade.

I traded LT/Roy Williams for CJ3/Boldin

I still have Sproles, so maybe i'll try to deal him to someone or hope that he gets a chance to start.

Has he been performing well enough to start :popcorn:

A couple weeks ago in a dynasty league, I moved LT for Portis and Bradshaw.

I feel pretty good about it; then again I'm a big Bradshaw fan.

Dynasty setup...3 weeks ago I moved:

LT2

Felix

Holt

for

SJax

JLewis

Boldin

Absolutely hated giving up Felix at the time but the writing was on the wall about LT2 and it took Felix to sweeten the deal to get SJax and Boldin.

He is not on your list but there is no way I give up Barber for LT, either.

Not Turner?

Possibly, although I personally would consider Turner to be a little over half the value; I'd need Turner plus a very good WR or QB to give up LT. But then, I'm probably still too high on LT.I am seriously contemplating an offer I received yesterday in redraft of getting LT, giving Addai and Boldin. This is a smaller league, so there are decent WRs on waivers.

get some vasoline after that one

Offseason dynasty move: Gave Tomlinson for Gore/Sidney Rice.

This week redraft: Gave Tomlinson for Marshall.

A lot of these posts aren't much help because absolutely no information is given beyond the players in the trade.

For example, dynasty vs. redraft is critical here because the age of an elite player is involved. Also, the number of teams, roster size, the scoring system (especially if it's non-standard), starting lineups and any other talent you have on your roster to make up for trading LT might be relevant here as to his relative value in trade.
