Training Camp (1 Viewer)

Hi my name is Vexx, and I have recently been diagnosed with football withdrawl.

Being somewhat new to fantasy football (a freak for 2 years now) I am now at the point where I NEED to resort to watching training camp and I was just curious as to what to expect? Is it full-contact scrimmage style or what? I know this is the time for rookies to prove they can play with the big boys and vets to prove they can still handle the workload, but how far do they go assuming they are very concerned about injuries.

I can only speak on the Eagles training camp

Each practice is different. Some times you will see full contact drills others you will not. Each coach runs their camp differently.

What I do suggest doing is watching a training camp with specific players in mind. Normally I never care to watch McNabb since I know what I will get from him during the season, however this year will be much different this year. Pick a few players that you have interest in and a few positions where there should be battles for starting spots and key on those players.

That's definitely the plan, I was just concerned that coaches would keep studs like lt, sjax and so on out of any contact drills to keep them fresh for the season.

Even the "studs" will see some action. Unless they have some minor issues you should see everyone play.

Luckily most coaches are old school enough to believe that 2-a-days and contact drills are essential components of prepping for the regular season.
