Travel question (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know anyone who has flown with medical equipment and if so do you know how they went about it? We are going to Vegas and aren't sure how to get all of my medical equipment there.

TIA

I travel with all kinds of funky gear for work. It's not medical equipment, but not standard stuff either.

We usually pack it in pelican cases with foam and check it as baggage. Just keep it under 50 lbs (well 70 if you fly first class...) and it will be fine.

Not sure if this helps because I don't know the nature of the gear. Can you give some more details?

I highly recommend carrying the items on if they are sex toys.  The look on the TSA agents faces are priceless.

We have a ventilator, feeding pump, power wheelchair and supplies. It's all very expensive and delicate.

Oh. Well I think you'll have trouble getting a power wheelchair on a plane. Are there companies that ship that kind of stuff for you?

Maybe you can pack some of the stuff in a good, padded pelican case and check it as luggage, and then rent a wheel chair when you get there?

Thats all I got.
