Treehouse Masters (1 Viewer)

TheIronSheik

SUPER ELITE UPPER TIER
Does anyone watch this show? The guy is a loon, but in a good way.

I have no artistic skill and I barely know how to operate a hammer. But this guy makes me wish I knew how to build things with my hands. I am totally addicted to this show.

Also, who the hell has an extra $180k laying around for a treehouse to be put up out back of their house. And if I'm building anything with that much money, it better have a working toilet. Not a wood bench with a bucket filled with sawdust underneath it.

That said, I still love this show.

This Spring, taking the Fam to Longwood Gardens to go check out the one he built there.

Love the show, but one thing that annoys me is how he always gets a call about mid-show to fix a treehouse issue for someone. It is an unnecessary scripted piece.

Yeah. My daughter cracks up at that. My guess is they do that so they can showcase 2 treehouses each show instead of one. But it is goofy.

It is kind of dumb the way they try to pass it off as his getting called out, but it's pretty cool to see these other treehouses. The bicycle elevator was completely awesome.

I may be wrong, but if you put running water and sewer in a structure, doesn't that qualify as a habitable dwelling and isn't it then subject to more regulation like building codes, zoning, deed restrictions, ADA compliance, etc.?

Could be. I have no idea. But if you're going to drop almost $200,000, I'd think that may be worth it. Just my opinion.

New season started last Friday.

During the commercials, they showed a new show along the same lines called Swimming Pool Master (or something like that.) Guy builds insane pools. I'll definitely give it a shot.

Dude in the pool show looks loonier than the treehouse guy AND he's British. Hopefully he's not too grating.

And yet that scripted piece often details another interesting area of treehouse building...
