Trick for Better FFG Forum search results (1 Viewer)

I've seen a lot of complaints regarding searching the ffg forums, so I wanted to share a trick to get great results.

The below example is just a regular search for "felix jones"

1. goto google.com

2. type into the search box : "felix jones site:footballguys.com"

thats it ... hope it helps some of you out

if you use google chrome and want to take it a step further, you can save this search under your default search engines for faster results

goto chrome -> preferences -> manage search engines

add a new search engine:

search engine: footballguys

keyword: ffg

url: {google:baseURL}search?{google:RLZ}{google:acceptedSuggestion}{googleriginalQueryForSuggestion}sourceid=chrome&ie={inputEncoding}&q=%s+site:footballguys.com

bada bing bada boom .... just type "ffg felix jones" in the chome omnibar ... and get the same results as the full search above.

Use google, the "new" FBG search (ever since the upgrade) is downright terrible. Totally useless.

You can even use it to search for 3-word terms and abbreviations. You can also use operators like + and - to further narrow your search.
