Troy Williamson and Travis Taylor! (1 Viewer)

I started both of their ###es today! Was offered Braylon Edwards in a trade, and I would have started Edwards instead of one of those Viking suckas -- against the owner who started Edwards! I will never start either of those purple people-eating fools again this season.

Oh, and Brad Johnson!?! Eat a ####!

:ptts: :ptts: :ptts:

:bag:

Williamson's drops are inexcusable, but Taylor is NOT to blame. Place the blame on Johnson. His arm is DEAD!! He has to hold on to the ball for underneath guys to open up because he can't get the ball down the field.

Blame Williamson for that suckiest sucky drop in the 4th quarter all him.

Blame Brad Johnsons old limpy arm for the 9-3 loss.

4 games, count them 4 games this year out of 8 where the offense has failed to score a TD.

That is inexcusable.

At this point, if Tarvaris Jackson is healthy there is absolutely no reason NOT to play him.

This team has ZERO shot of going any where with Brad even if they somehow pull their heads out of their butts and actually make the play-offs.

Might as well find out what we have in T. Jackson to decide on Next season.

RB = Good.

OL = ?? Jury still out, should be one of the best but are very inconsistent.

Defense = Top Notch :thumbup:

WR = ??? Williamson made some great catches the last 2 or 3 weeks. But at times he loses concentration and forgets to catch the ball before he turns to run. Of course so did Crumpler yesterday & Owens & about 20 other WR's. I think it's something that just isn't taught any more. Speed = money, we can teach catching.

I am a Williamson and T. Bell owner in a dynasty league. I am trying to trade Williamson for Mike Bell for a handcuff for the rest of the year.

Still need say:

:lmao: at Viking "faithful" around here.

Last year it was ALL CULPEPPER'S FAULT.. for the turnovers and bad record until Johnson stepped in.

This year??

OL problems, WR problems, even some blaming C. Taylor.. Brad.. Hey he is a nice guy who is trying so we give him a pass.

If Culpepper was with the Vikings this year and had back to back games like Brad just had the Viking "faithful" would be calling for him not to even ride back on the Team plane.. Leave his butt in San Fran.

But with Brad it's: "Gotta stick with him, he is a winner who doesn't make that many mistakes if given the time to read the defense and a running game and WR that can catch and, and, and.. etc"

:lmao:

Should have gone after Brees

Lets find out what Travaris has. I truly don't think he can do any worse than Brad has the last two games. he can get out of the pocket and avoid the sacks. 3 game stretch coming up against lower ranked Defenses is a perfect time to give him a try.

2007 WR Free Agents

Drew Bennett, UFA, Tennessee Titans

Kevin Curtis, UFA, St. Louis Rams

Marc Boerigter, UFA, Green Bay Packers

David Boston, UFA, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tyrone Calico, UFA, Tennessee Titans

Patrick Crayton, RFA, Dallas Cowboys

Andre' Davis, UFA, Buffalo Bills

Bobby Engram, UFA, Seattle Seahawks

Justin Gage, UFA, Chicago Bears

D.J. Hackett, RFA, Seattle Seahawks

Keenan McCardell, UFA, San Diego Chargers

Shaun McDonald, UFA, St. Louis Rams

Samie Parker, RFA, Kansas City Chiefs

Jerome Pathon, UFA, Atlanta Falcons

Willie Ponder, UFA, New York Giants

Edell Shepherd, RFA, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Travis Taylor, UFA, Minnesota Vikings

Scottie Vines, RFA, Detroit Lions

Bobby Wade, UFA, Tennessee Titans

Peter Warrick, UFA, Seattle Seahawks

Kelley Washington, UFA, Cincinnati Bengals

Alvis Whitted, UFA, Oakland Raiders

Ernest Wilford, RFA, Jacksonville Jaguars

No one on that list excites me. Perhaps the Rams WRs, DJ Hackett, or Gage. Crayton might, but he's a RFA. Doesn't look good if MN is looking in bringing in a WR from free agency. Add to that, that TTaylor is a UFA and you're looking at Troy Williamson and Marcus Robinson or Bethel Johnson as your starting WRs in 2007. Ouch.

How many balls did williamson actually drop today? And how many does he have on the season?
I loved the dropped pass against NE. He's all set up to haul in a 50+ yard TD and fails to look up as the ball is coming his way. It hits off his helmet...a perfectly catchable ball.

I agree that Troy is exteremly frustrating to watch, but who are you going to bench him for? Bethel Johnson dropped an easy bomb yesterday as well! (Yes, Brad underthrew him, but he still should come up with it!) Billy McMullen couldn't catch a cold. Who do we have that we can bench him for? When MRob comes back, absolutely, but until then, I think the Vikings are stuck. And you better change your chant to "Here we go Brooks!" because Childress has already indicated that there is no chance Tarvaris plays this year.

Nov. 2 St. Paul Pioneer Press

As for those Vikings fans who would like to see rookie Tarvaris Jackson in a starting role, Childress indicated that isn't going to happen. He doesn't even see Jackson challenging Bollinger for the No. 2 job this season.

"I'd have to have probably a drastic reason to do that," Childress said. "I kind of like it the way it is. He's getting turns; he's still growing within the system. He's able to take a look at and observe. Obviously, there's no junior varsity team. He doesn't get to play on Monday morning or anything like that."

Jackson, a second-round draft pick from Division I-AA Alabama State, said he's treating this as a learning season and never had illusions about playing as a rookie, despite an impressive preseason.

"I was going against the second and third guys," he said. "It's a different deal when the season starts. It was good for me, but I knew going into preseason that was probably all the time I was going to get. I just tried to get as much from it as possible."

Nov. 1 Star Tribune

Childress said he would need "a drastic reason" to put Jackson into a game. But Childress did not seem to rule out Bollinger as an option when asked if he would ever change quarterbacks during a competitive game to spark the team.

Oops brad, did you just trip into Bollinger, both of you sprain a ankle and take you both out of next weeks game??

What I really want to know is where is Jermaine Wiggins? I understand using Kliensasser as he is a solid blocker, but I would think that using Wiggins either in 2 TE sets or splitting him out as a WR on a smaller DB would be good. He has the best hands on the team!
