TRUMP TO INFINITY AND BEYOND HQ - The Great and Positive Place (7 Viewers)

So, you want this thread to be only posters of like mind and opposition posts are not allowed?

OK. Have at it.
Not at all. Mature posts from the other side are more than welcome.

I just don’t want to see the same trolling and insulting of the President and his supporters in here that we get in dozens of other threads.  This thread is about Trump’s re-election.

It appears our thread that was created in good faith has attracted some of the usual suspects that ruin other threads    This is an outstanding opportunity for @FBG Moderator and @Joe 8ryant to round them up for the good of the order
:coffee:

Tim and I have had multiple threads ruined by the usual suspects, but I don't recall you ever once complaining about that and asking that the mods round them up for the good of the order.

It's pretty sad how childish they act but when you look at how stale and low energy all their faux outrage threads have become it makes sense. Unless the mods decide to handle it fairly for both sides then I say just ignore them and thanks for starting this thread.

Are you confident about the accuracy of this assertion?
Very confident.  I know one company that has been awarded 700 million in contracts with options up to 1.3 billion.  That's roughly 20% of what was promised with just that single company.  However, it's not clear to me where the money is coming from and if the delta could get hung up in courts and what not.

Seriously? I have seen so many comments about this forum being a liberal echo chamber.

Sounds like you want this to be a conservative echo chamber and you are getting upset because people aren't following your orders.

Wow

I better not sy anymore or I will get banned
You're grossly miss representing him asking for a single thread in the chamber.  There are plenty of Trump bashing threads to join in on.

So, you want this thread to be only posters of like mind and opposition posts are not allowed?

Odd coming from the people that talk about safe spaces for liberals.

This is a message board for conversation and debate.  Every conservative is welcome to jump in the Mayor Pete thread or those about Warren or any democrat and offer actual discussion.

Any jokes about either result in swift bannings, but you already know that.....

I have no problem with your request. I think trolls, who add nothing to the discussion, should disappear from all threads.

That said, we may have some differences in interpretation. For instance I have some pretty strong views about President Trump and no doubt you will regard some of what I write as insulting.

No, I disagree with it and feel it’s quite false.  There is zero evidence of that happening.  And there is no need to further detail any discussion in this thread about posters trying get people banned for questioning trump or his supporters.  Thus far the discussion actually about Trump has been legitimate.  There is a moderation thread somewhere of you want to complain about the myth of unfair moderation.

Again- there's nothing to be gained at this point from engaging with these people on this stuff, IMO. They've had four years to sell and defend their movement to those with whom the disagree.  I believe they've failed to do so, and they likely disagree, but it doesn't really matter.  If they want to continue to sell and defend it to others, they know where to find us. Otherwise it seems like the best tactic is to give them the confined safe space they seem to want.  It's a win-win, IMO. Fewer slapfights and nastiness, and less reaching out to win over the independents and others who handed Trump his narrow victory in 2016.  Who wouldn't want both of those things?

It appears the OP just want this thread to be for Trump supporters to post good stuff about Trump.   I have no problems with that.  I may pop in from time to time but this will be my last post here.
Another attempt at a Trump supporters "Safe Space" thread where any criticism of Trump is unwelcomed and called trolling. A "mature response" is acceptable as long as there is nothing bad is said about Trump in the post.

This has been tried several times in the past threads and all were either nuked, muted or had the titles changed by the OP. Most recent example was the original Trump Tweets thread where the OP demanded only positive comments about Trump's tweets be posted (when that was not complied with he nuked the thread).

It may happen to this thread as well if it also becomes an unfunny Comedy Store for the Trump hate crowd.  He had every right to nuke the thread.

Yep.  It will happen again here because his supporters cannot take criticism of Trump

Unfinished business is actually a pretty good strategy.  I've always felt that 4 years was not enough time for any President to fully implement what they are trying to do.
Yes, we just have to re-elect him and then he's going to show us the new healthcare plan.  I'm pretty sure in about 6 months he will begin talking about a new middle class tax cut also.

He nuked the thread because people were pointing out and making commentary on the lies that Trump makes on Twitter on a daily basis.

If one is not allowed to post negative comments about the subject matter of any thread in this forum, then it becomes a propaganda piece for one side or the other and becomes a literal echo chamber that people decry here.

Stop it. STOP IT!!!!!!

The good for Trump...he has his base and they are fiercely loyal.  Criticism roll right off for many and there isn’t much he can do wrong in his eyes.  His expertise has always been marketing and he has marketed himself to the point that his base won’t go anywhere.

In addition, there are those not necessarily in that die hard base that may not like him, but they won’t vote Democrat no matter what...and many of those won’t stay home or vote third party...they will vote specifically to try to keep the democrat out.

The bad for him as far as re-election...there doesn’t appear to be a Hillary candidate that is just disliked by so many.  And these candidates should have learned from her in what not to do as far as ignoring certain key states. The left has seemingly been energized to call me out and vote and the midterms showed it was largely an anti Trump sentiment.  I don’t think you see a low voter turnout this coming election and that should be good for democrats.

No matter what some here think about the candidates..I think Trumps best chance may be against a more progressive candidate.  He, the GOO, and right wing media corps out there will push the socialism word (which will likely happen even without a progressive candidate, just wondering he as effective IMO)...even to the point of conjuring up communism to try and motivate voters.  The problem with that...I think that only picks up a few not already in the “anything but a Democrat” voting block.

So when the Trump administration's Attorney General appointed a Special Counsel to investigate the Russian interference in the 2016 election, this stopped Trump from building the wall.

And that's the Democrats' fault?
The Dems and fake media that created this story in the early morning hours just after Trump’s historic victory was intended to create doubt and chaos and undermine his Presidency.  If you can’t see that after all the investigations, I’m not sure how I can help you.

Warren makes Hillary look like Sandra Dee and has most liberal voting record in Senate.  Cultural Misappropriation scandal forever brands her as an East Coast phony

Mayor Pete is unqualified and an empty suit at this point. Maybe he should try Congress first?

Bernie will get owned in debates and the general electorate will reject socialism

Harris   Californian won’t play well in flyover states  “#heelsupharris” movement will hurt her

Booker    He comes across as crazy

Beto peaked too early and is fading

This is not actually the 1961 Yankees

Biden is their only chance

Wasn’t sure anyone wanted to get into candidate by candidate.

Warren...I think she erred in continuing with Trump and the Native American thing.  I don’t think that will hurt her all that much though.  She is in no way as unlikeable as Hillary and her campaigning is far more impressive than Hillary ever was.  I suspect she overtakes Bernie as the more liberal candidate.

Pete...without insulting anyone, it seems hard to understand how a Trump supporter can even use the word unqualified with any candidate. Empty suit?  The man is highly intelligent, a veteran, well spoken, and has proven himself as a mayor.  Is he a bit green?  Yes, but timing and opportunity means this may be his shot if it’s ever going to happen.  Biden winning and being a one term guy would give him another shot, but possibly trying to secure the nomination against the sorting VP.  The other shot for him would be Trump winning re-election.  I think he has a great chance of he wins the nomination.  Him as  VP to Biden would be good, but think Biden goes with a Harris or Warren or other female.

Bernie...owned in which debates?  He certainly has held his own in any debate he has been in.  As I posted earlier, I think the socialism is what will hurt a more progressive candidate. But he has certainly shown he can motivate his base and some other voters as well.  I don’t think he would get destroyed.  Not a fan of his age (or Biden’s for that matter)

Harris has a very good chance...flyover states don’t like Cali but love a rich NY guy? I think it exposes a bit of hypocrisy by some of those voters.  But I don't think most dems will do well in those states.  And they don’t have to in all of them, just a few.

Booker isn’t gaining any momentum.  I’d see him more as a VP type if it’s a female candidate.  I think most of the men might pick a female as a VP choice.

Agree on Beto and some of the rest.  Would still like to see more from Klobuchar but think she me be best suited as a VP choice or running again in 4 years.  Mayor Pete/Klobuchar ticket would be interesting

Warren comes across as too old.  She now has this Kate Hepburn thing when she speaks.  She is very unlikeable.  I’d rather have a beer with Hillary as sad as that sounds

Trump has been vetted by decades in the public eye. Mayor Pete notsomuch.

Trump will own Bernie in debates.

It’s going to be Biden.

I won’t get into betting as what I’d say would be insulting to Trump.

Mans debates seem an odd thing...I’d love to know what you mean by own Bernie?  I don’t think on substance Trump would own any of them.  Not with facts at least.

I think Biden looks like the choice, but it’s quite early.

I agree. You cannot help me.

I don't see how any intelligent person gets owned by Trump.  Trump will say demeaning things but I haven't seen him say anything to own anyone intellectually yet.  When going unscripted Trump is a terrible speaker and I think he embarrasses himself.  I can see how people who like bashing others would like him though.  He's loves making fun of people and calling others names.

Warren comes across as too old, yet it's going to be Biden, who is older than Warren and looks it even with the hairplugs  and Botox.

You and other Trump supporters keep pushing Biden as the best choice, but I think that is because you feel he will not fare as well as any "fresh face" chosen by the Democrats.

Today is the big day where our President announces his re-election bid.   I figured a thread was needed to discuss the upcoming election strategy and his successful first term.
I’m going to give you some encouragement. There are threads for every major candidate, but not Trump and obviously he deserves one. I think you did a good job in the Ohio State scandal thread a while back. You posted local news which was cool and handled criticisms of Jordan pretty well. Ideally we should be talking to people with opposite views and from wildly different backgrounds and locations, it’s the best thing this forum can do. So let’s do that. I do agree your wish to have the thread stay civil should be respected. On the other side I think it’s be great if Trump supporters could stay closer to posting news & updates, at least it would make for interesting reading rather than the usual  :argue: .

That's the thing.  No way Trump owns anyone, but he'll throw out a zinger or 2 and his base will eat it up.  They will then be on social media the next day with the 10 second sound bite proclaiming the ownage, and there will be no telling them that "yeah but the rest of the debate he lost".

The D's & their supporters have no chance in 2020. Trump raises $24.8 million for reelection in less than 24 hours, RNC says. “The enthusiasm across the country for this President is unmatched and unlike anything we’ve ever seen!” she tweeted.

MAGA

See post above.
I saw...most again are results vs what he did to achieve such things.  It read like a list of talking points and was, frankly, a mash of words that will get scrolled though like when people would post long recipes to derail a thread.  And if quoting things you should probably provide a link to the source rather than just posting it.

That list includes several points that contradict each other. But most of it is a pretty fair summary of why Donald Trump has been such a horrible President.

Kind of like all the tweets you post.
Tweets are 240 characters long maximum, that is all anyone has had to scroll through by a tweet posted by me or anyone else. And they quite often do contain a link to save people from scrolling through a cut and paste of a long, lengthy article, such as what was done here.
