Trump's Lies: A Catalogue (1 Viewer)

I need your help.  For posterity, I want to administer a running list of Trump's outright lies and false statements since his inauguration. But, it's getting overwhelming, I'm getting old, and I'm losing track.  So...

What would help is, along with the accusation of the lie, a link to his tweet or report of what he has said.  His surrogates qualify, as well.  If he backtracks or corrects the record, I won't expunge it from the list but will notate.  This will be a good opportunity for Trump supporters to dispute the facts, which should be a useful resource for everyone.

Important qualification to make the list, the Trump/surrogate claim must be falsifiable.  In other words, there must be demonstrable evidence that the claim is obviously false.

Here is the list:

1.  Inauguration Size

2.  Voter fraud estimate

3.  Kuwait enacts Trump-sequel ban on Muslims

4.  As justification of Muslim ban EO, Conway twice references a Bowling Green Massacre that never happened

5. Claims that terrorist attacks not being reported (we all know why)

6.  Murder rate highest in 45 years

7.  Claims his Cabinet appointees have experienced longest delay for confirmation in "the history of our country"

8.  Any negative polls (of Trump) are fabricated

9.  I don't know Putin when he made it clear in 2013 that he does have a relationship with Putin

10.  Obama gave Iran $150 billion for nothing

11.  New York Times is failing

12.  Nordstrom dropping Ivanka was a "direct attack on [Trump's] policies" when Nordstrom statement clearly articulates it was about performance

13.  Claim that only 109 refugees were affected by the Muslim ban.

14.  Saying Blumenthal misrepresented Gorsuch's comments when Gorsuch spokesman confirms what he said night before.

15.  Trump makes claim that he appointed first woman as second in command for CIA

16.  Chaos at airports caused by immigration ban was actually a glitch in Delta computers (that occurred a day later)

17.  Cuban-Americans, I got 84% of,their vote (when in fact it was 54%)

18.  The lie that General Flynn did not discuss with Russia the prospect of easing sanctions.

19.  False claim that Bernie Sanders was cut off CNN for describing their network as fake news.  (What Bernie did was criticize Trump For using term "fake news")

What's the evidence this is a lie at this point?  Couldn't it be argued it's just optimistic and remains to be seen how it gets financed?
He put forth the order to with absolutely no implementation of "Mexico payments" included. Nothing.

Trump signed a pair of orders to set in motion the construction of a "physical wall" across the 1,989-mile length of the southern border and to strengthen immigration enforcement within the U.S.

Under consideration.  I want to see this play out before formally making that call (even though you and I know how this likely will unfold).

Got a few.  Links on the "opposition is paid" and "impact of EO"?

   @ you guys and your TRUMP derangement syndrome . You have to let it go fellas.
Let what go?  That the current President (and his band of uber-incompetents) lie (as in the sky is pink lies) almost on a daily basis?   The lies should just be ignored and not called out?

I'm often not sure if Trump is actually lying.  I think he is often misinformed and doesn't try to find the truth.  I also think he can be delusional.  For example, I could see how he might have honestly thought his inauguration crowd was the biggest ever.  However, that's different that purposely being deceitful.

I think it's possible that in some cases, he blathers a falsehood because it fits his narrative, nevermind its grounding in reality.  I afforded some room for that in the original post to include "false statements."  Although, I would argue that a false statement drifts into lie territory when there is no effort to correct the record once it's been established that the statement is false (say, for example, the Kuwait story, among others).

No.  No ####### way Mexico is paying for the wall.  With any luck nobody will pay for the wall, but if it si built, US taxpayers/consumers will pay for the wall.  That has always been the plan.  When Trump talks about Mexico paying for the wall, he is talking about tariffs on Mexican goods imported into the US - and those costs are paid for by US consumers.

I don't think we have the evidence yet to outright falsify the claim, but it seems like the absolute best logical conclusion and one I absolutely believe will make the list, assuming it ever gets anywhere.

Charitably, I put this in the category of H.W.'s campaign promise of "no new taxes"...probably worse because I actually believe HW believed he wouldn't raise taxes.

Point out that Obama and his administration lied consistently and you are a racist.  Point out that Trump and his administration lies consistently and you are a hero.

What a world.
