Turner in as OC in SF (1 Viewer)

Turner may have did a terrible job at winning games this year but he turned Jordan into another stud RB.I think Barlow and Gore have more natural talent than Jordan.I personally also think Barlow is more talented than Gore at this point in all aspects of the game.Barlow was a stud when he had the least bit of talent around him. I actually think he did pretty well this year and last considering he played on the worst offense in the league with 4 different QBs and carosel of WRs. He has gotten a bad wrap period.Does Barlow or Gore have a chance at stud status next year?Interested to hear everyones thoughts on this.

That is the problem. Barlow or Gore? If both are in the mix it will be hard for either one to have top 15 value, especially if SF is a poor team overall (again).Willie Parker and Mike Anderson are the only two RBs to split a significant amount of carries in 2005 and were top 15 backs (in most leagues). They both come from historically strong running attacks and are on good teams.

Personally, I'd put my money on Gore emerging as the starter. Just have to hope he gets 75% of the touches to have value.

IMHO, the short answer is no. I don't think Barlow has enough talent to be top 15 even if he weren't sharing carries. Plus the team is going to be bad again next year and unable to rely on the run. I haven't seen enough of Gore play to really feel strongly one way or the other on him. But with both he and Barlow around, he has no shot at top 15 either.

I totally disagree, but acknowledge that Barlow has experience.IMHO, Gore has the talent to be a top 10 RB, but he needs a better team around him. A QB worth his salt would help. Until Smith shows something, we'll have 2005 McGahee at best - which isn't bad by any means, but not elite either.
