TV actor that starred in three great series (1 Viewer)

Sherman Hemsley

All in the Family

The Jeffersons

Amen

I guess he was only a supporting character in Family, so he probably does not count.

However, all such threads begin and end with:

BRUCE CAMPBELL

(you first state the name, then just back into whatever stats are necessary)

Burn Notice

Hercules/Xena

The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.

(when using the term "great" for the thread, the above all qualify simply by Campbell's presence in them)

(oh, and he deserves partial credit for the greatest Old Spice commercial ever)
Winner. He was also in Ellen DeGeneres's comedy show, pre-lesbian announcement. When it was somewhat funny.

Also Ryan Stiles (Drew Carey Show, Who's Line Is It, Two and Half Men).

He wasn't a main character in Hercules/Xena, just supporting.

If you want something he was a lead character, try "Jack of all Trades". That lasted two seasons.

the bugs bunny/road runner hour

Like Mickey Mouse for Disney, Bugs Bunny has served as the mascot for Warner Bros. and its various divisions. According to Guinness World Records, Bugs has appeared in more films (both short and feature-length) than any other cartoon character and is the ninth most-portrayed film personality in the world.[4] On December 10, 1985, Bugs became the second cartoon character (after Mickey) to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.[5]

He also has been a pitchman for companies including Kool-Aid and Nike. His Nike commercials with Michael Jordan as "Hare Jordan" for the Air Jordan VII and VIII became precursors to Space Jam.[58][59] As a result, he has spent time as an honorary member of Jordan Brand, including having Jordan's Jumpman logo done in his image.

In 2002, TV Guide compiled a list of the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all time as part of the magazine's 50th anniversary. Bugs Bunny was given the honor of number 1.[60][61] In a CNN broadcast on July 31, 2002, a TV Guide editor talked about the group that created the list. The editor also explained why Bugs pulled top billing: "His stock...has never gone down...Bugs is the best example...of the smart-aleck American comic. He not only is a great cartoon character, he's a great comedian. He was written well. He was drawn beautifully. He has thrilled and made many generations laugh. He is tops."

A lot of crappy TV shows being touted a "great" here.
It's tough when Transparent is included in the OP.

Yeah, I get that I'm probably in the minority here, but I tried it out for 6 or 7 episodes and thought it sucked. Speaking of... did anyone not really like it at first but stuck with it and now likes it a lot? Should I give it a second chance?

I think it's been great from the start so it probably isn't worth revisiting if you watched some episodes and didn't like it.

tom seleck was awesome in magnum pi three men and a baby and full house brohans take that to the bank

was rooting for Alyssa Milano & Patrick Stewart here, but;

Milano's shows aren't great, just memorable (charmed, who's the boss, Melrose place)

Stewart has star trek and American dad as 2 better shows.............his 3rd would only be the new show he is in, blunt talk.......and I have no idea about it.

betty white was amazing in teen mom season three and on so you think you can dance brohans tryout part of season six and her role on golden girls to take that to the bank

Rooting around in IMDB can be informative.

I thought maybe Harry Morgan, and sure enough there's Dragnet and MASH. I was sure he was in a third, but not so.

I see he was in 72 episodes of a show called Pete and Gladys in '60-'61. I have never heard of it, and don't know how popular it was (maybe the fact it was only 2 seasons answers that), but now I have.

When you see all of these different shows actors have been in, it shows how difficult a "hit" really is to stumble into.
Kind of did the same thing with Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond, Fargo) but while I liked Til Death (especially the bugnuts 'we are getting cancelled, let's do whatever the F we want' final season) it'll never be considered "great".
I enjoy pretty much anything Garrett is in. Til Death wasn't great, but was a fan. I liked How to Live with Your Parents, but it didn't last long.Another of my favorite actors comes close to three, but not quite. John Larroquette. Night Court had a good run, and The John Larroquette show was pretty good too. (with some early Chi McBride) He's had several since that just can't push him back to the higher level though.
