TV Experts: Is this a good tv? Good price? I'm clueless. (1 Viewer)

I have Samsung TV's (not that series, J400DAF I think. the one you link appears to be a nicer model). I like them quite a bit. No idea how they compare to others.

But you are right to not get a smart TV. Most are really kind of pointless. They are usually not going to be compatible with all of the streaming services you might want to use. A regular TV plus a good streaming device (like Roku or Fire) will almost always give you more options while being cheaper.

I think we settled on between 46-50 after giving them a look. Feel like the price is right on this size as well. I do know 60 would be way too big.
We went from a 46 to a 55 and it seemed a little big for about a day and now we are glad we have the bigger size. I recommend getting at least a 55 and there are many good choices in that size.

I definitely agree. I don't know anyone that went to a bigger tv and now says "my tv is too big"

Do you know of anything that size in the same ballpark price-wise and quality? Seems like the price goes way up once past 50.

I've never owned an RCA so know nothing about the quality but I found that one in about 2 mins, there are usually some really good deals around if you put your time in to find them.

We bought a LG 55 inch this spring for i believe 499 and we like it alot
