Morning,

With the worries over Demaryius Thomas' foot injury I was wondering if you could try and break down the Denver WR group for dynasty purposes?

After Gaffney who holds the most value and how do you see this changing as the season progresses?

Thanks guys.

Sigmund -

I'm in 10 team redraft; non-ppr; protect 1 player (mine is Chris Johnson - who I'm keeping regardless of the holdout noise).

Start: 1qb, 2 rb, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1k, 1 DST.

I was the 2008 league runner up and 2009 league champion. I attribute a good deal of my recent to success to this podcast. That being said, last year you had a thesis of drafting 2 top WRs back to back if an owner was at the back of the serpentine. I employed this strategy and had much success. As I will certainly be drafting out of the 10 hole on this coming draft day, do you have any overarching themes for this season that may be seen as "against the pack". I guess I'm looking for a Bloom high conviction call on the draft.

Keep up the amazing work. Cecil can we get a "brought to you by!!!"

Hey Guys,

This is more parts an NFL question than a fantasy question... why don't more teams employ two TE sets? Seems to me the if a team had two dynamic TEs that put more pressure on the linebackers and the seams of the field. The run action would still warrant respect from the defense AND the QB would still be protected. What's the cost? Does this shorten the field for the defense? All you would need is one WR of consequence so that the defense had to respect one of the deep quadrants (at least one of the safeties would be forced out of the box).

Back to fantasy... I'm hearing some Davone Bess hype lately. Do you think that offense can make Bess a reliable flex option in 12 team PPR leagues (start 3 WRs & 1 Flex)?

Lastly, Cecil, WTH is going on in Denver? It's like the franchise is stuck in a bad remake of Top Gun: "he's going down... he's in a flat spin... he's heading out to sea!" And on a related note: how about Kelly McGillis playing for the other team (rug-shopping... wearing comfortable shoes)? It's no wonder that make-out scene with Cruise was so terrible... hurts to remember I fantasized about this chick in "Witness"

Seriously, though, the donks can make anyone digress. How many wins in 2011 Cecil?

Which of the following QB's will be starting for their teams in 2011 and which do you believe will be looking back on a successful 2010; successful within the context of their team and reasonable expectations?

Cassel, Palmer, Garrard, Alex Smith and Trent Edwards.

Gracias Amigos.

Hi guys,

I have a question concerning a keeper in a near dynasty (keep 25 of 40 players) PPR, IDP league. We start 1QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 2 DL, 2 LB and 2 DB.

I am struggling with who to keep as a 25th player between Evan Moore, Brandon Gibson or Arian Foster. I am concerned with the addition of Watson in CLE, and there has been some positive talk recently concerning Foster.

Roster listed below,

Henne, Chad MIA QB - 5

Moore, Matt CAR QB - 6

Schaub, Matt HOU QB - 7

Foster, Arian HOU RB - 7

Jackson, Steven STL RB (P) - 9

Maroney, Laurence NEP RB - 5

Stewart, Jonathan CAR RB (P) - 6

Williams, Ricky MIA RB - 5

Berrian, Bernard MIN WR - 4

Driver, Donald GBP WR - 10

Fitzgerald, Larry ARI WR - 6

Gibson, Brandon STL WR - 9

Johnson, Andre HOU WR - 7

Morgan, Josh SFO WR - 9

Ochocinco, Chad CIN WR - 6

Thomas, Mike JAC WR - 9

Moore, Evan CLE TE - 8

Shockey, Jeremy NOS TE - 10

Witten, Jason DAL TE - 4

Hartley, Garrett NOS PK - 10

Mathis, Robert IND DE - 7

Peppers, Julius CHI DE - 8

Suggs, Terrell BAL DE - 8

Beason, Jon CAR LB - 6

Lofton, Curtis ATL LB - 8

Atogwe, Oshiomogho STL S - 9

Wilson, Adrian ARI S - 6

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!

Rob

I'm in a league (0.5 PPR) that has a different keeper rule than most other leagues, we can keep one player from last season's roster. But the special rule is, if I keep a player I will have to use a 1st round pick on him, in this case the 1.01, making my next pick the 2.14 (serpentine draft) The reason for this is, that I won the league last year. And the rule is, if I keep a player, my spot in the draft is the same as my final league ranking. If I don't keep any player, my spot in the 1st round is 1.14 and I can take who ever falls to me.

So what would you do? Keep Ray Rice at 1.01, or not and take 14th spot in the draft? I'm leaning towards keeping him, because he should anchor my team the next 3-4 years. So allthough 1.01 is early for Rice, he should be worth it.

With the arrival of McNaab to the Redskins which of the receivers makes the jump to every week starter? Devin Thomas or Malcolm Kelly? Is it time to buy low on these guys or are you avoiding them altogether?

Hey fellas,

1. Long term, which player will come to the forefront in the Patriots passing game?

2. Name some players that could be gotten for pennies right now in dynasty leagues that could end up being a steal. I'm looking to acquire players like Tashard Choice and Devin Thomas for my rebuilding dynasty team.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Sig and Cecil, once again a question from Europe.

I Play in a Non-PPR Standard Scoring 16 Teams Dynasty League and i can start 4 players beetween RBs and WRs (either 3+1 or 2+2); My RBs are MJD, Joseph Addai, Felix Jones and LeSean McCoy; my WRs are MSW, Percy Harvin, Brandon Marshall and Miles Austin.

I'm Trying to Package two of them to get an elite RB to pair with MoJo, but i don't know who to move because all of them have the opportunity to become solid RB2 or WR2. Addai is probably the only declining player here, but he is also the one with less question marks for next season and maybe he can help me on my way to the Championship more than LeSean and Felix.

Of the players listed, who do like in particular?

What would you do in this kind of situation?

Thank you Guys!

Hey guys great job as always but Cecil your killing me by not posting the KFAN to the site. I'll be downloading cause I'm off for a LONG 5th wedding anniversary weekend so a couple of questions.

How do you see the breakdown of the TEs in Washington?

How does it shack out with the WRs? I own Thomas but Kelly is available to I scoop him up.

Thanks!

Hey Guys,

first great to hear (and download) all your podcast during the non-playing season (include ofcource the great IDP ones).

second, i just reat in the National Football Post site- news that The Philadelphia Eagles have hired former Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns scout Daniel Jeremiah, author of the popular Move the Sticks blog and podcast.

http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Former...iladelphia.html

so Congrats first :goodposting: )

second, will he stay with "us" in ur great podcast?

and last, some NFL-FFL question, about T.O and his right now "no-market" status.

i still think that T.O have alot more to contribue to good NFL team since he take care of his body shape and true sport competitor on the field. the only problem is that there arent much teams who can sign him- thats why last year he play in Buf. but if you look closely on teams like the Titans (with young or inj. pron WR unproven core) on the AFC ... See Moreor team Panthers in the NFC (with just one Steve.Smith and no one else aside) giving u potencial two teams with good coaches, running game and D.. that good second veteran WR could elevate them to division contender competition. too bad those team GM and manegment are old school and not make big moves like this.

one last team that alot more ppl think about in regards to T.O is the Redskins- and again i think its a good idea for a team that trade for Donovan.M Era whitch is here and now (next 3 years) and have just one WR (Moss) who is due for suspenssion or inj becoz of age and one TE who is more interesting in showing off his .. playbook moves.. to have another proven WR which know the QB for better and worse and would want to put his most effort on the field to play and Win.

thanks again and looking forward to listen to u in the morning (10 PM ET is 5 AM in the morning here in Israel), Amit (Cecil its pronaunce like Umit-umbrela.. not Emit like kermit- lol)

Evening guys,

I apologise if this question has been asked recently, but who are some of the players from all tiers that you are trying to get on your dynasty squads...and why?

Thanks as always for the great show

Hey guys,

I have a couple of IDP questions for you tonight

1. What do you expect from D'Qwell Jackson this year coming off of the injury?

2. Who are some sleeper safeties that you are targeting late in your drafts?

Gentlemen,

How much do you use the results of a league's previous drafts in preparing for the next draft? I have five years worth of draft results for one of my leagues, and I'm wondering how it can give me an edge, or whether it's worth the trouble to analyze it.

Thanks!

What are you expecting from Michael Turner this year? He is getting passed over a lot but is highly productive when he is playing.

What current WR/WRs currently outside the top 20 in most rankings do you see being big surprise in PPR leagues and his upside to reach top 10?

great job as always guys. Trying to get some more feedback on the chances of a few rookies you are not getting a lot of pub.

TE Anthony McCoy (depth charts looks stacked but he seems to be one of the more complete TE's in the draft)

WR Jeremy Williams/Seyi Ajirotutu (again with the depth chart but if Gates misses time and with possible turnover at the WR position??, which of these guys has the best shot)

WR Antonio Brown (thought your Steelers insight would be great)

RB Toney Baker

LB Perry Riley (can he replace Fletcher or does McIntosh have a good shot at that role down the track)

LB/DL Danny Batten (small school guy, where does he fit with the Bills)

LB Darryl Sharpton (Texans don't seem set on some of their LB's, some recent uninspiring picks, where could he fit?)

CB Akwasi Owusu-Ansah (raw small school guy but how quickly does he get a shot)

1) Bloom's LenDale White jihad fascinates if only because he's my buddy, we talk football a lot, and he usually doesn't get so emphatic about something like this

2) Karma for the Tebow reality check. This idea that he's going to succeed because he "wants it" or is going to be a gym ram or is going to try hard just makes me cringe. As though the successful QBs in the NFL don't have great work ethics on top of fantastic fundamentals? What shocks me even more is that folks like Jon Gruden are perpetuating this nonsense

3) I think the Matt Jones things is a bit of a departure from your show a few weeks ago when you both said Jones had now clearly been relegated to WR4/WR5 duties in Cincy and was a long shot. I have him on a number of dynasty teams, too, but I do think your case to his dynasty value last night differs from your take post the NFL draft

4) I'm much higher on Fells than anyone else, for many of the reasons Cec talked about on the show. Someone needs to be Bradford's safety valve, Fells actually acquitted himself nicely in a role last year where the offense sputtered and he didn't get many looks, and there's really no viable alternative.

5) I'm with Cec on the Bush vs. Bradshaw thing, but both situations are far more up in the air than any of us would like. We could see a situation where both guys have big runs and then injuries or the hot hand relegate them to lesser factors at other times. I just think Bush has the slightly better upside as the full workhorse back this year

6) The Jabar Gaffney love has to be kept on the down low :lmao: In all seriousness, I think he's THE WR to have in Denver this year, and (at least for now) he can be had on the super cheap

It was painful to have to watch Lendale run in wet cement for two years, what can I say Im still bitter. He is not a good RB, period. On Jones, he is mos def a longshot to do much this year, but based on early reports, he's getting his mojo back, and if that is true, he'll start somewhere in the next 2-3 years. He's only on a one year deal.

Thanks for chiming in JWood! :lmao:Training camp is going to be soooooooo interesting, and jam packed with media. 60+ members out for Tebow's first mini-camp, where in year's past you'd see 10-15 of the same, local guys. The Tebow mania here is just crazy...it's all people want to talk about! By the time August rolls around it's going to be a fever pitch. Frank Schwab, Broncos beat writer from the CSprings Gazette, made an argument that Gaffney's game against KC last year (19-14-213-0) was better than Marshall's record setting performance against Indy (28-21-200-2)He should have been in the starting lineup from week 1 last year over Eddie Royal, who was the worst starting receiver in the league last year. I love Eddie, great guy, great in the community, but for two years I've seen him struggle to recognize coverage - and when you're running an open route tree (different from Shanny's traditional route tree) you need to know how to set up defenders. We'll see if Eddie can finally get it right this year.Gaffney is the only sure thing in the Broncos WR corps, yet gets no love in most fantasy circles.

Well Bloom is batting 1.000 with his Stop the Insanity feature so far. Karma my friend, I wish I could have back my SSL pick :sadbanana:
