Texas Restaurant That Refused '######' Customers Touted As Gay Bar Online

A Texas restaurant that refused to serve "######" customers is now getting some positive reviews online for being a "gay bar."

Internet users have taken to Yelp to write reviews about Big Earl's Bait House and Galley Cafe in Pittsburg, Texas, where a waitress told one gay couple not to return because they "don't serve #### here." The waitress who made the homophobic remark is the daughter of owner Earl Cheney, and Cheney defended her sentiment.

After the story broke on local news outlets, people began writing reviews for Big Earl's claiming the Texas restaurant is actually a gay bar. Its Yelp page has been flooded with photos of same-sex couples and an image of the store's billboard has been manipulated to read "Big Gay Al's."

One Yelp review reads: "Lovely place to bring your same-sex partner to and show how much you love him/her as much as their food! The more flamboyant, the better!"

Another says: "On the positive side, it says "Bait House" but the place was more like a Bath House with all the horny Texas cowboys flirting and slapping each other's behinds. Very gay-friendly atmosphere!"

Some in the Dallas LGBT community are planning on visiting the Pittsburg eatery.

“I think it’s a fantastic idea and I’ll be there,” Gary Burns told CBS affiliate KRLD. “There’s no reason not to just go and embrace those people and to love them and hug them and say ‘hey, we’re human beings too.'”

However, others are not in favor of this idea.

“I think that for the homosexual community to be targeting a restaurant and good people is ugly, it is uncalled for. They’re pushing an envelope and they want to not only have tolerance – they want to shove things down our collective throats," Cathie Adams, president of the "pro-family" group Texas Eagle Forum, told KRLD. “As one who has been married for 45 years to my husband, I don’t think that it’s my role to stand in the street corner and start talking about the style of private life my husband and I have.”
The Yelp page is worth checking out for the photos and comments.

Seems like going anti-##### is now a business model.

Big Earl is going to get a lot of business out of this.

There is more to the story. An Austin woman called to give them grief and was hung up on. Three hours later a deputy sheriff called her to discuss the incident and threatened to arrest her for harassment. Morning radio here is running with it and trying to get the Sheriff on tomorrow morning.

The Yelp page is worth checking out for the photos and comments.
The place to be if you are looking for a Turner in the streets but a Hooch in the sheets, boys.
Do NOT order the pulled pork! I thought it was a sandwich!
The skanky waitress turned out to be Big Earl's daughter, who readily agreed to spend the night in our tent at the local campground. She wasn't much of a waitress but she served up the hottest night of the whole road trip. We tipped her well over 15% that morning...
I thought this gay bar catered to all members of the LGBT community, but I was dead wrong apparently. "Big Earl" himself blocked the door wearing assless chaps and a ball gag around his neck before I could even fully walk through the entrance. He told me,"There ain't no room for dickless dykes in my hot dog ho down."
Big Earl is charming and so friendly that he invited me to the redneck cotillion after my delicious meal. He is very light on his feet, but has roaming eyes, flirting coquettishly with every other guy at the ball. I wish I could dance like that in sequined heels. Thanks for the lovely and romantic evening, Earl!

When they say "Bait House," they couldn't have hit the nail on the head any better than if the Lord Jesus himself were the carpenter! I didn't know what to expect upon entering such a place; I'm what one might call a city-slicker, sticky off a long, hard, sweaty road trip all the way downtown to Browntown in the heat of the night, and I found myself in dire need of some liquid refreshment and a protein supplement via hot beef injection (that's a hot dog; get your minds out of the gutters, you Godless heathens) when Big Earl's magically appeared like some oasis in an uncharted pocket of the endless Gobi. And O Hosanna! I don't think I could've even imagined a better oasis than this!
 :lmao:

The Yelp reviews are :moneybag:

I wonder if Big Earl has any legal recourse. Deliberately misrepresenting his eatery seems to me like a smear/libel campaign.

This is a new marketing tactic they're going to be teaching at Wharton; offend the entire LGBT community, get blasted on the internet and watch business skyrocket as all the bigots come to your defense.

Those yelp reviewers are denying service to yelp customers looking for a restaurant review free of criticism!
