I guess. Living in TX for 20 ish years now, I've never run into this line of BBQ nazi.

I like my BBQ just like the next guy... but if sauce does it for you, go nuts.

Therein lies the rub. Have you met one person that thinks sauce is the key?

I actually have a buddy who, if there is anything in their refrigerator, Rudy's BBQ sauce is. Puts it on everything.

But no, I haven't met anyone who gets emotional about BBQ (sauce or otherwise) like people here.. ever.
