One that comes to my mind: Charles Gordon, really should have been drafted.

Also Nick Reid and Charlton Keith.

Marcus Vick :bye:

Anyone else of note?

The thread title is a little misleading. I thought you meant which UFAs have not yet been signed, not which college guys went undrafted.

Almost every team has a list of undrafted players they go after, as soon as the draft is over.

90% or more, of them are cut before the season starts. But there are a few who do make it on to the rosters.

Focusing on the fantasy skill positions...

QB

Paul Pinegar

Darrell Hackney

RB

Andre Hall

Dontrell Moore

Gerald Riggs, Jr.

WR

Greg Lee

Jouvon Bouknight

Martin Nance

TE

Tim Day

The Broncos went after DonTrell Moore as soon as the draft was over.
That is a good match for DonTrell. The Denver offensive scheme plays to a lot of his strengths. Slid down the draft board in part because of his size, and in part because he is still recovering from an ACL injury suffered at the end of the 2004 season.Definitely a UFA worth a flyer at the end of a rookie draft.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why Martin Nance wasn't drafted.

I'd love to see the VIkes take a chance as I hate their WR corps.

Nice list. I'm bummed about Moore, Riggs and Bell.

I think I agrued with someone about Cedric Humes being drafted and he said Pitt would take him. I said he would go undrafted. :own3d:

Josh Betts, QB, Miami (oh), signed with Indy

Aaron Schable, DE, South Dakota, signed with AZ

Nick Reid, LB, Kansas, signed with KC

I guess the studly UDFAs are careful to sign with teams where they stand the best chance to stick.

Dontrell Moore and Spencer Havner would particularly look good in a Rams uniform. Tim Day and John Torp are also worth a look, IMO.

Moore signed with the Jets

The Vikes got Hank Baskett, Taurean Henderson, CB Charles Gordon and a bunch of other scrubs

New England Patriots signed LB Freddie Roach. Could serve as a good ST player and add a bit of LB depth if he makes it on the team.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Somehow I thought Undrafted was one word. ;) Thanks to the mod for editting the title, I didn't think about the Unrestricted guys.

Nance - I'd love to see KC bring him in, I wonder if Pittsburgh hadn't already taken 2 WRs if he would have joined Ben. Still might.

Is there a limit on how many you can sign? The Vikings seem to be signing everyone according to KFFL.

There are a few I am really hoping the Pats go after.

BTW Chaos Commish, great info this whole weekend...I learned a lot!

Nice haul for the Vikes. Doing better after the draft than during it.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
:lmao: Signed Wendell Mathis too. Solid job replenishing their depth at RB with UDFA's.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Bienemy loved Mathis (UCLA) before he transferred to Fresno. Drew was the issue, and Mathis wanted to play. This doesn't surprise me, and I won't be surprised if Mathis wins a regular paycheck. Henderson is much more versatile, but Mathis is a cut and go coach's dream.

Sharon and Twito are interesting too. Sharon was Omar Jacobs go to receiver, and he's good, clutch player, smart. Twito is a better run blocker than Marcedes. Raw, basketball guy, but he's an interesting talent because he caught on to run blocking in a big way. I highlighted him in a post a couple days ago.

Mathis's big problem at Fresno was his habit of putting the ball on the turf. If he can cure the fumbelitis, definitely has a good shot at sticking.I had Henderson on my college fantasy team and he brought me one title and almost a second, but he is a 3rd down back and nothing more.

Man, some of these guys were projected 3rd rounders:

Kai Parham

Marin Nance

Spencer Havner

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Last year the CB from OSU Brandon Browner was projected as a #1 by some and he went undrafted. Sometimes there's a huge disconnect between what the exprts think and what the scouts think.

The offseason roster limit is 80 so I assume you can sign as many undrafted rookies as you want up to that limit.

Rams picked up TE Ed Nelson, UCONN's Power Forward.

Saints picked up Bruce Eugene, Grambling's phenomenally productive QB.

Carolina picked up Brett Basanez, Northwestern's studious QB.

Green Bay picked up Jason Hunter, App State's very good DE/OLB conversion.

Vikings picked up Barrick Nealy, Texas State's Vince Young impersonator (interesting QB prospect).

Houston picke up Damien Rhodes, Syracuse's version of Reggie Bush. ;)

For the life of me, I cannot understand why Martin Nance wasn't drafted.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I asked Mayock and Chavous what happened with Nance and the autograph hounds surrounded them before they had a chance to answer.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Grown men asking for Mike Mayock's autograph? :lmao:
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Mostly kids. I did rib Chavous about McNeal right after he went. In his defense, he said something I totally agree with - that you have to go out on a limb for "your guys" - he took it in good humor.

Charlton Keith signed with Cleveland, so my KU brethren are all employed. :)

FWIW, our top player last year is also a Brown, former DE turned OLB - McMillan. I'm not sure that there's any relation to the signing, but somewhat interesting.

(Hey, us Jayhawks don't get much love when it comes to football, since Gale Sayers anyway)
