it's the commissions that appoint the judges, not the UFC. Plenty of times the UFC has come out and said the judging was wrong, and i'm pretty sure they will make it up toi Brilz in some way (favorable opponent, another spot on the main card, etc.)

thanks for the administrative lesson Mr Wizard, but the concept still applies. Big fights are good for the UFC, they're good for the commissions, and they're good for anyone with their hands in the coffers

Well, luckily the UFC is not built this way, and they are not contingent on certain guys winning certain fights. Do you really think the UFC would risk all they have built by resorting to such tactics? The fan base saw the fight and Lil Nog lost some steam tonight. People were jumping on the train way too fast after he destroyed Cane, and people may jump off the train way too fast here. But the UFC would not be that dumb to risk exposing the integrity of what they built by adjusting the results of fights. And why in the world is Russow standing with Duffee? I am watching the fight off and on, but it seems his gameplan is not the best here
 
I like the strategy. Lull Duffee to sleep through 2.5 rounds so that you can pull off a shot like that. Man, if Brilz would have won it would be a nice profitable night with these big dogs.

At least Russow has a great post-fight interview, admitting how pitiful his effort was.

 
I've never got the Bisping hate. Is it because he's too cocky, talks too much ####, or what? And don't tell me it's because he's a Limey.

I don't mind cocky when you back it up. He's reedickalusly cocky and a total B-Level fighter. Plus, he's a Limey.

He may currently be a B-level fighter, but don't you think he's eventually capable of becoming an A-level fighter?

That's a special kind of hate.
 
That veetle link that atdhe lists has been awesome for me so far. The only issues is that it's a little bit behind live, and that you have to download a plugin.
