I totally got hosed last week with the SJax 1 carry start. Cost me a win and the info this week is all over the place. Darby was announced the starter early in the week but now Pittman appears to be playing as well. I dont think Gado will do much but between Pittman and Darby, who will get the bulk? I just found this article and it is confuses the situation even worse.
Pittman’s emergence and availability comes as a bit more of a surprise. Haslett all but ruled him out after he injured his hamstring against the Cardinals last week.
But early in the week Pittman told Haslett that he was going to try to play this week. Haslett made the same deal with Pittman that he did with Jackson.
Sure enough, Pittman was on the field Friday afternoon and completed the workout.
“I don’t think I surprised anyone,” Pittman said. “I’m a guy who when I’m walking, I’m running. So I will go out there and give it all I can. No. That’s fine. I stayed on my treatment on that and the hamstring. Just keeping my body in shape and getting ready to go out there and roll this week.”
Pittman says he doesn’t expect to be limited in any way by the injury but it’s probably realistic to expect his touches to be more limited than Darby or Gado.
“I wouldn’t put myself out there if I couldn’t do it all,” Pittman said. “I think I can go.”
