Undervalued players to target (1 Viewer)

Who would you say has had the opportunity to produce, but due to an overthrown ball or great defensive play(s) has not done so yet? Who would you target as a "Buy Low" or undervalued player you could get at a discount?

Here are a few of mine

Randy Moss- Labeled as a bust, but has the yardage.

Steven Jackson- how is he producing at this level on that team?

Steve Smith NYG- Not a buy low, but I drafted him and undervalue him (Stigma of late round draft, I guess)

So who else would you target?

I actually like Jennings to come out and give us a Roddy White performance. O-Line is the trouble there though

I wonder if DWill is a buy low? I own him, and don't plan on selling, but I wonder if people think he'll start living up to his draft position or if us DWill owners are in for a long season with this guy.

Just about anyone you buy low at this point is going to be considered a bust. So of the players you're looking to buy, why do you think the situation will improve?

SJax - top five in yardage thus far. Touchdowns are hard to predict. He's been much better than the perception.

Benson - depends on the owner. He won't come cheaply, but he may cost less than he should just based upon his name and the stench generally associated with his name from his days as a Bear. Let's face it - if Tomlinson were doing what Benson is, the price would be much higher.

I think Tomlinson is a buy low. It's likely his owner is disgusted with him thus far. He's only played in two games and was decent in the first (10 points) before getting hurt. In his most recent game, he had 7 carries coming back from injury in a game the Chargers were blown out and hardly ran. Turner will give Tomlinson lots of work and all the goal line touches.

I am trying really hard to get DWill and Tom Brady.

I've tried offering Matt Schaub, Ray Rice, and Nate Burleson for DWill + 2 scrubs and Tom Brady + 2 scrubs.

No bites.

99% of people overvalue 99% of players on their roster.

People who you can get on the cheap are probably Laveranues Coles, Jake Delhomme, Derrick Ward, Lee Evans, Michael Jenkins, and Isaac Bruce.

 This is the reason there are so few trades in my league.

FWIW I traded S Moss and LT for Turner and Evens last week.

Where I come from, we never use the phrase "Lee Evans" in polite company.

WOW! I'd give up Brady in a heartbeat for Schaub, Rice and Burleson. No brainer, I don't care what the league scoring rules look like.

Consider the schedule Benson has played, and the numbers he's put up (550 yds, 3 TDs). And then consider the schedule he faces towards the end of the season...Oak-Cle-Det-Min-SDG-Kan...toss in Hou and Chi before the bye. The dude is top 5 material that will only cost you top 20 value. I suspect he's still very undervalued.

To me, Brady is a great buy low. There are other QBs who are off to very good starts that you could potentially work into a deal for him (i.e. Flacco, Schaub, Big Ben). The Pats have played 3 games against Jets, Ravens and Broncos - 3 very good defenses.Welker and Moss have both been dinged. Brady hasn't looked real sharp, but is still producing. Once they heal, and Brady shakes the rust, this offense is going to be back.Just dealt Schaub, Benson, B. Leonard and S. Holmes for Brady, Colsten , T. Hightower and C.Wells in a redraft. This was a great buy on Brady.5 weeks ago he was taken in 1st round, and owner was happy to take Schaub for him.

Ricky Williams - dude gets a lot of action, and is one injury away ( Ronnie Brown) from being an absolute stud in Miami.Ronnie Brown looks great, but if he gets hurt, Williams will be a top 10 RB.

even at 10-15 carries/week, Williams is still proving to be a valuable addition to any fantasy team.the guy simply produces each and every week!

:goodposting:

I"m going to go out on a limb and say Larry Johnson - has been stifled so far, but the schedule is about to get much, much easier.

Matt Cassel - looks like he's finally getting a handle on things in KC, again,as the schedule gets easier, I'd expect the Chiefs to get better..

Portis? maybe, if his line holds up.

Ryan Grant is due for some 100+ yard games soon..

D. Bowe

Here are a few more buy-lows:

Jacobs - has done nothing yet against weak opponents, but if he gets even his career averages this year, it means a huge second half.

DeAngelo - has yet to rush for 80 yds in a game

Santonio - has done little since a big week 1

MJD - one huge week, otherwise, ho-hum

Witten - has yet to score more than 10 pts in non-PPR

Jennings - he will eventually get his, the O-line play can only get better.

Your insane for trading away Rice for D Will.

Is Reggie Bush a buy low in PPR leagues right now?
I think Bush is almost a can't start. I think he is approaching droppable. So, no, I don't think he is a buy low.
Droppable in a full pt PPR league?
Droppable is probably a stretch. But I would agree on the not startable. And I don't see how the PPR helps that much. He only has 14 receptions over 4 weeks. Also I don't see where his upside is which is necessary if we are going to say he is undervalued. The team has had great success running either PT or Bell. In each of the games this year only one of those two were available and Bush didn't have great stats. I haven't heard if Bell is definitely back this week but if not he will be shortly. So now Bush needs to compete with two of them. That doesn't sound like upside.
