Hey Folks,
I run a very unique league called the Top of the Mountain League. This league is a total redraft league with 12 teams, 20 player rosters and no draft.
Why no draft you may ask? Because each team can have any player on their roster that they want. Every team can have Peyton Manning or ADP or Andre Johnson etc.
The reason for this, is because of the way the league runs each week. Before I get into that, however, let me give some basics about the league.
League Fee is $60 and all league fees minus the site fee of $60 is paid out. League Champ gets $400, Runner up gets $180 and Third place gets $60.
12 teams with 20 player rosters
All transactions are done via FCFS waivers. I.E. you pick up your players using FCFS waivers.
All games are H2H games each week of the regular season.
The Playoffs are set as a total points type playoff system. You can see the rules for this in the Additional Rules section of the League Bylaws.
Now here's where things get interesting. Each week during the regular season, not only will the starting lineups change, but the total number of players you have to start will change. One week you may be starting 1 QB, 2 RB's, 3 WR's, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 Def for a total of 9 players. The next week you might be starting 5 K's and 5 Def's for a total of 10 players. Then another week you might be starting 3 QB's, 3 RB's, 3 WR's, 3 TE's, 3 K's and 3 Def's for a total of 18 players. A list of all the starting lineups is shown at the bottom of the Additional Rules section on the League Bylaws page.
The basic jist of this league is that each owner must make the best decisions possible to pick the players who will have the best week during any given week. The ones who make the right choices, will score the most points and win their games. The ones who don't, will lose.
Also, all starting lineups are hidden until the Monday night game starts. Once that game starts, no changes are allowed to your starting linups.
Teams can see how their team is doing against their opponent, but you will only see the total points scored, not the individual points.
We had a vote about this and decided to go this route rather then not allowing any changes after the first game on Sunday started so that teams could see how their entire team is doing against their opponent. Teams wanted the flexibility to possible change players if necessary.
Anyway, here's a link to the leagues Bylaws page http://football17.myfantasyleague.com/2011/options?L=34305&O=26. If you scroll down through that, you will see the Additional Rules section. That's where all of the league rules are posted.
Anyone who is interested in taking on a spot in this league, please send me an email to LoneWolf1023@aol.com. PLEASE make sure you state which league you're talking about when asking about this league. I run a total of 22 leagues and don't want to accidentally put you in the wrong league. lol
I hope 3 people will contact me ASAP and take on the challenge of trying to win in this league.
Thanks for reading about it.
