You talking about Jordan Walden?there was a guy a couple years ago who did a little skip jump from the rubber to start his motion. Not really a windup, either. Pitched for Colorado maybe?

Putting aside the fact that he was a nutjob who talked to the baseball, what was unorthodox about his pitching motion?Parmcat said:Mark Fidrych
Lots of good calls throughout this thread.Pat Neshek.
Gene Garber.
His windup used to be shown in slo-mo during the closing credits of This Week In Baseball in all its eye-rolling-and-closing glory.Valenzuela should be on the list too.
I'll allow it. ####ed up free throw routines and shooting motions are also in play here. I'm looking at you, Sidney Lowe.Jim Furyk
Great video of Collmenter demonstrating and talking about throwing his changeup. There have been a lot of low arm slots mentioned in the thread but Josh Collmenter's extreme overhand delivery should get a mention. It's not as obvious as a guy who's dropping 90 degrees toward horizontal but it is deceptive enough for a guy with sub-par velocity to be successful.
Great memory. His windup used to be shown in slo-mo during the closing credits of This Week In Baseball in all its eye-rolling-and-closing glory.Valenzuela should be on the list too.
Yeah. I used to love watching him pitch.Lots of good calls throughout this thread.Pat Neshek.
Gene Garber.
Neshek has that Chad Bradford thing where you're worried he's going to scrape his knuckles against the mound and F up the pitch.
Garber is the submariner who would turn and look back to second base in mid-windup before delivering, right?
