Must have to be an "insider" subscriber.

From Rotoworld:Travis Henry said he intially feared his season was over after injuring his ankle and knee in Sunday's loss to Indianapolis. He will undergo an MRI."I was worried," Henry said after the game. "I felt sharp pain in my knee, first. Then my knee and my ankle. But the X-ray came back negative." Henry reportedly had a noticeable limp afterwards, which isn't a good sign, but thinks he'll face the Chargers in Week 5. Watch his status during the week.
I haven't read all the way through this thread yet (looks like 4 pgs) but what is the purpose of an x-ray (broken bones) the MRI will tell the ligament story. This isn't over yet.(note: it took me 30 minutes to get through five pages,,,not even Evelyn Wood could help me).

I picked up young last night. I think he is worth a spot anyway. Henry is hurt, we all know that, maybe Young will fill in for a week, maybe he's a gold mine, maybe Henry plays next week. If you can find room to stash him, it is a low risk high reward situation. Having said that he is probably worth a sell high, I personally would not trade for him unless it was a Rhodes for Young or something like that. I have both and they are both for sale

Young for Rhodes is a good deal? Rhodes is an average backup at best, whereas Young is in a much better situation, and Henry hasn't played a full season in ~5 years. I don't see how this is good value....

Sorry if this is a honda but looks like the MRI came back showing no damage to the knee or ankle...

http://www.gazette.com/sports/shanahan_280...y_practice.html
The rumor is that it was the X-ray which came back negative, not the MRI. Supposedly the MRI was today and there was so much swelling that they can’t be sure and will redo the MRI tomorrow, but the orthopod feels it’s a tear.
It says right in the report from today the "magnetic resonance imaging" (MRI) test indicates no damage. It looks like this is now a done-deal, and he's fine.

This whole thread is meaningless now, unless you feel it will be a reoccuring issue that will linger.

ENGLEWOOD – The Denver Broncos practiced today without running back Travis Henry and receiver Javon Walker, but safety John Lynch was participating during the early part of practice that is open to the media.

Henry had a magnetic resonance imaging test on his injured right leg, but no damage was found to the knee or ankle. Still, the Broncos held him out of practice today and coach Mike Shanahan said he didn’t know whether Henry would practice Thursday.

“You’re always hoping but we won’t know until tomorrow,” Shanahan said.

Walker has a knee injury. He was inactive last week against Indianapolis. So was Lynch, who has a groin injury. Shanahan was hesitant to indicate if he thought either one would play Sunday against San Diego.

“Any time you have a groin and a hamstring you don’t know for sure until somebody practices,” Shanahan said. “Can you go full speed and how much can you work it? Obviously with the knee situation it’s the same thing.”

Finless said:
Why are folks convinced it would be Young? Cecil Sapp has looked pretty good in limited touches. Shanahan hasn't had any problem with turning to a fullback in the past...
I dunno  might have something to do with averaging 9+ YPC and looking rather explosive.
I'm not convinced MBell or Sapp wouldn't be moved to tailback if Henry were to miss multiple games. Shanahan may view SYoung as a TBell type of player - a change of pace back that you want to limit carries.MBell missed the last few games w/ a concussion, so it's difficult to gage his standing here.
Moleculo- please don't get crazy and go thinking rationally now.

Okay...thats enough for me...time to go shave my head or chew glass because anything is better than reading a bunch of rumors....i`m sure it will be wrongly reported on espn later tonight , untli then have a hectic . :bye:

You're right, nothing to see here. Is it possible that the reporter for the Colorado Springs Gazette (highly credible FF news source) posting on their web site got the MRI (supposedly done today) and the X-ray (done Monday) confused?

BTW, Bongo is not a doctor, but rather I believe that he works in some capacity in the "Sports Medicine" field.I own Henry in 2 leagues, have S Young in one and just traded James Jones, WR, GB (6th on my depth chart in a start 4 WR format) for the rights to pick up S. Young in WW (runs tonight).Sounds like at a minimum Henry is out until Week 7 (bye Week 6).
probably works in the MRI clinic that the Bronco's use or knows somebody who does since he knows when Henry's going back in for MRI #2.

I agree with this. It seems odd that this reporter got this news before any other source. Seems possible that the reporter confused the MRI with the X Ray.But I of course am an optimistic Selvin Young owner.

THanks to all of you for the heads up. A top RB not practicing is always worth a thread? But this appears to be much ado about nada. If things change, start another thread.
