Upgrade TEN Offense.... (1 Viewer)

DT Kelly Gregg (knee), S Dawan Landry (neck) and CB Samari Rolle (neck) are all out for BAL D. Obviously the TEN offense gets an upgrade here - especially without Gregg clogging up the middle. How do you think this affects CJ3's day? Does this mean more passing oppty's for TEN, thereby opening things up for the RB's? It also may present more oppty's between the tackles for LenDale, thereby opening things up on the edges for CJ3. I'm predicting a good day for CJ3 here - perhaps 120 total yards and a touchdown, as well as a TEN win.

I'm starting him over MJD. I think this gives him the opportunity to get some more catches. I definitely think 120 and a score is plausible

Drat. I've been cursed with having Turner & CJ3 as my RB2 behind Lynch. I never start the right one (except week 1) and get more points on the bench. I was going with Turner this week with confidence until now.

I know if I start Johnson, Turner will blow it up. And vice versa.

Turner aint doin sheet against GB this week

Gregg has been out for a while. Landry and Rolle were out last week as well. CJ could get some catches but this is still an elite defense and not a good matchup.

very  agreed, really doesn't change a thing, still a very tought matchup for CJ3. The Ravens back ups are better then alot of teams starters

I've been wondering why Gregg's injury keeps being brought up. They've been stellar w/o him, and should only be better as he gets healthy.

The Packers' defense has major issues. I think Turner is looking at 80+ yards and a TD at least tomorrow.Back to CJ, after seeing what he did against an elite run defense last week, I'd start him against any defense unless I clearly had superior options. If he can deliver strong production against the Vikings, the potential is certainly there for him to do well against the Ravens. I wouldn't expect the world just to be safe, but I wouldn't rule out another good game.

You apparently aren't staying current with Green Bay's defensive injuries. I'd go with Turner.

While I agree that cj is capable of a good game vs anyone, minnesota's defense as a whole affords many more scoring opportunities than Baltimore's.

Not so fast. The NFL season is young. We're still being surprised at some teams being better than expected, some not as good as expected. The Vikings D was regarded as a top notch defense against the run...until the Titans put three rushing TDs on the board. What great rushing attack have the Ravens stopped this year? None. I suppose you could count Pittsburgh, but FWP was out & Mendenhall got hurt pretty early on. Meanwhile the Titans have rushed somewhat successfully against two teams that were "supposedly" top-notch run defenses - Jaguars and Vikings.Aaron Rodgers is a game-time decision. If he plays, the Pack should get a big early lead, pushing the Falcons out of their rushing game. Turner could be toast. If Rodgers is out, I LOVE Turner in this game. That's my call. The safe call, to me, is CJ3. However, if the Packers announce Aaron Rodgers can't go, Turner gets the nod.

Minnesota has also faced considerably more talented RBs so far this season:GrantAddaiStewart/WilliamsJohnsoncompared to Baltimore which has faced:PerryLewisMendenhall/MooreIt's not surprising the Vikings have surrendered more rushing TDs. The Ravens really haven't faced an elite RB yet. I think you could make a case that Johnson is the most talented RB they will have faced so far this season. I'd rank him ahead of Jamal Lewis if for no other reason than the Browns are just an absolute mess this season.

I don't know. In my week 5 projections, I predicted the Raven's D to give up the fewest yards of any D in the NFL. I think Ten's offense is a DOWNGRADE. I don't think Cj3 is very special.

I'm starting CJ3 but that is because I have no other option, DMacAllister is my other starting RB this week. The use of CJ3 has been a disappointment to me so far. I'd love to see more screen passes and swing passes where he is actually moving foward rather than flattening out in the flat. We also haven't seen that burst and breakaway speed once he hits the secondline of the D either like he showed in preseason. He's putting up very good fantasy #s for his fantasy draft position but we still haven't seen the homerun TD run/reception that a lot of were looking forward.

Now, the Ravens do very well against all RBs. CJ3's speed alone isn't enough against this D. The best scenario for CJ3 owners is a big dose of FatDale on first and second down, then CJ on third and for a series as a change-up, then a large dose of Johnson in the second half. They need to soften up the Ravens D and let them wear down a bit, then hit them with some speed. His speed will be used best once the Ravens have gotten used to dealing with FatDale's style of running. Johnson will get hurt if they use him on everydown starting in the first quarter (see Mendenhall, Moore from last week).

Prediction: CJ3 48yds rushing, 32 receiving, 0.2 tds C+ game, FatDale a ton of carries for 45 yds, 3yds rec, 1 td
