He was a 3 down LB before losing his starting gig last year. He is quick, but his bad tackling and coverage technique has been exploitable in the past.

This seems exactly like the Philly situation. Briggs owners should benefit. Hunter = Gaither.

for Briggs to excel if moved to MLB the Bears DT's will have to be on top of their respective games. he's made a living by playing the weakside and playing in space and running people down and punishing him. while Briggs seems to blowup blockers when he's blitzing into them, its a different story when they are coming to u. Urlacher had taken alot of flack the past few years for not disengaging(alot of it was hima and alot is Tommie Harris) but he was still aways above average in shedding. remains to be seen if Briggs can handle the extra attention
