They should've built a slide that goes all around the building a few times and takes you back to the ground. Glass the whole way.Sure. I trust the strength of glass to hold back the gorilla at the zoo, to keep the pressure in my airplane, and to stop bullets around my bank tellers.
the real question is why I would pay $8 for such a short slide.
Seriously. Before I clicked on the link I was hoping for something straight outta Chutes and Ladders, like from 84 to 16 or whatever that bad-### super-long one was.70th to 69th... Weak
It wasn't the glass that cracked, it was the protective coating on the glass, which is why no one was in danger from it.There was a story not too long ago about the glass from the Sears Tower showing cracks while people were on it. They said that it was superficial and not impacting the integrity of the glass.
Yea, well, when you are standing on glass a billion feet in the air- a crack is a crack. It wasn't the glass that cracked, it was the protective coating on the glass, which is why no one was in danger from it.

At that height, you are weightless and floating, so no real worries about falling. Just don't fart or else you'll be speeding to a rendezvous with the sun.Yea, well, when you are standing on glass a billion feet in the air- a crack is a crack.
