Yes to your first question. I don’t know the rules so your second question makes sense. I don’t ever remember a player being nominated for both.Aren't Busio and Tessman older than Pepi? I guess he's 'ineligible' for this one since he's nominated for the other?
Pretty impressive.
... And the CP... I mean, winner is...Ream and Balogun seem like really odd choices for this year. Would definitely have put McKennie and Tillman ahead of them based on club performances.
Mathis is 15 and doesn't turn 16 until May. Pulisic was almost 17 when he was promoted to the U19s. Reyna was the same. Both debuted for Dortmund proper within 6 months of first playing for the U19s. Cole Campbell debuted for the U19s at age 17. He debuted with Dortmund at 18.Pretty impressive.
Offensive Dortmund players over the years rack up some serious stats in the youth teams. I assume this is a combination of the talent they have access to and playing teams significantly lower on the quality scale.
The two items that are most impressive for me about Mathis are 1) I think he is ahead of both Gio and Pulisic at the same age in the same system, and 2) he is a core part of the team even in the Euro Youth League which is significantly higher level compared to the teams the U19 teams that Dortmund plays normally.
I have said this multiple times, but Dortmund is loaded in the youth ranks. That a 15 year old can crack a U19 team is really really cool, especially when he is not doing this being significantly physically advanced at 15.
Seems like the one recent Dortmund prospect who was ahead of Mathis' pace was Moukoko. As far as I can tell he scored 50 goals in U17 at age 13-14 and 32 goals at U19 at age 14-15.Mathis is 15 and doesn't turn 16 until May. Pulisic was almost 17 when he was promoted to the U19s. That's not to say Albert will debut that fast or be that good - it's way too early - but there is no doubt his current trajectory is ahead of all of them by a pretty fair margin.

"We have to challenge the players, because they have to feel desperate to want to be called up; that's what other federations/countries like Argentina do, where the players don't choose which games they go to."
The good news for Dest is that no one appears to have locked down the RB role in his absence. He has also played a bunch of LB for PSV as well so if he has a full recovery I am very hopeful he will be getting good minutes very quickly. Was trying to find info on Dest's recovery... Only thing I've found mentions possible January return.

Back to back 90’s on a short week is REALLY encouraging.Adams appears to be going 90 again today v Karmapolice United (winning 1-0 heading into the final minutes)
Was able to watch most of this and he got stronger as the match wore on. He started on the right of a 4-2-3-1 and moved to the left after some subs in the 2nd half.Back to back 90’s on a short week is REALLY encouraging.Adams appears to be going 90 again today v Karmapolice United (winning 1-0 heading into the final minutes)

When the game got stretched he covered tons of ground and was able to get forward effectively. His pressing and shot resulted in a goal that was rightly called back for offsides.
3/4PSV are starting all 3 yanks Pepi, Richie and Tillman, today.
I love that Saibari made it too. He's always the first one to celebrate when Pepi or Tillman score, and often seems to be on the other end of their goals and assists. Both Pepi and Paxten make the Eredivisie team of the month
Moussa too! Oh...Both Pepi and Paxten make the Eredivisie team of the month
Can't include Dest yet3/4PSV are starting all 3 yanks Pepi, Richie and Tillman, today.

I know he's been putting up stats, but I havent watched them play at all so no idea what his game has been like.I know Paxten is playing a new role and appears to be flourishing. I wonder if he has shown enough to get a call up by Poch...
More articles about Musah and that role in the last 24hrs... Right, Yan?Pulisic starts at the 10, Musah at RW today in a 4-2-3-1
Yeah, I think out of all their players, he's the one who's going to lose the most playing time when Dest returnsRichie is in the final year of his contract. It will be interesting to see where he goes next as I have a feeling he won't be re-signed by PSV if Dest returns to health/form.
Goal Tillman!
