From this picture of the crazy stadium, it does not look like they have any lights so they must play all their games during the day.Whoa, 330 game? Good thread info, NR. I was expecting 7 or 8.
nice pick-up, re; lights. From this picture of the crazy stadium, it does not look like they have any lights so they must play all their games during the day.

Yeah...Wahl says he's with Arsenal until January.I did some google work last night and he didn't move.![]()
Guess he will get some cup games. I haven't been paying attention, has he been dressing for PL games?
forgot about him- thanks for the post.Russell Canouse gets his first start today for Bochum after 2 sub appearances.
There used to be a time you could ask me about any US player abroad and I could give a decent answer but there are so many now that they just are all blending together, especially the ones we can't see play on tv much.forgot about him- thanks for the post.
IIRC, he and Gooch play the same position? didn't he get hurt with Gooch taking over for him? or is Canouse more upfield?
just googled... We'll maybe if the kid didn't show up to work naked he would be taken more seriously. Shows lack of maturity to not even dress for a game, imo.ok I just double checked the three Arsenal match reports for this season. Z has not dressed for any of the 3.
I think you are remembering U20 WC qualifying where we saw Gooch I think as a sub play up front.just googled... I think I have some things mixed up.
yes, Canouse got injured for the 2015 u20 WC... but I don't see Gooch on that roster, so I guess he didn't replace him. I did find that Canouse also plays holding MF... so maybe it was elsewhere? but just now I also kind of remember Gooch playing for the US up front?![]()
I think that's right.I think you are remembering U20 WC qualifying where we saw Gooch I think as a sub play up front.
I don't recall why Gooch did not make the WC squad, whether it was injury or just beaten out of a spot by others.
That is a good explanation I think.I think that's right.
based on what I remember of him up front.... kind of a bull in a china-shop approach. run around a lot, put pressure on the defenders and hope for the best. didn't remember being terribly wowed by him up there. that might explain why he didn't make the cut?
I guess it goes with out saying that yet again the US put together a roster (this time with 26 players) and not a single one of them plays LB at their club with any modicum of regularity.I feel like we have found our new LB![]()
Prayers answered. Wait, can he hit crosses horribly? We need that from our FB's.I feel like we have found our new LB![]()
lolThat is a good explanation I think.
I do like the fact that he appears to have some jackknife versatility. Tab must have considered him a striker back then, and we have already seen him play a wide position and a DM position this year at Sunderland.

This game isn't in the States. It in St. Vincent. Almost in South America. There's a real chance this game is postponed. 3:30 tomorrow afternoon, the center of TS Hermine is going to be less than 100 miles from J'Ville according to the latest projected path.
oh- wow... good pickup. There's a real chance this game is postponed. 3:30 tomorrow afternoon, the center of TS Hermine is going to be less than 100 miles from J'Ville according to the latest projected path.
I'm sure EG was thinking about the game on 9/6 in Jacksonville against Trinidad. This game isn't in the States. It in St. Vincent. wait... just looked it up- Hermine is currently high up in the Gulf... like opposite Tampa? pretty far from StV, if soThere's a real chance this game is postponed. 3:30 tomorrow afternoon, the center of TS Hermine is going to be less than 100 miles from J'Ville according to the latest projected path.

I think EG mixed up the two games. The hurricane would have been a problem if the Friday game was in Jacksonville but that game is on Tuesday.wait... just looked it up- Hermine is currently high up in the Gulf... like opposite Tampa? pretty far from StV, if so
ah yes, the weather forecast for every day in the caribbean.I think EG mixed up the two games. The hurricane would have been a problem if the Friday game was in Jacksonville but that game is on Tuesday.
That being said, the last I check they were still expecting tropical type rains on Friday with high heat.
My bad - why did I think this game was in Jacksonville? This game isn't in the States. It in St. Vincent. Almost in South America.
Yep, that was it. Sorry guys.I think EG mixed up the two games. The hurricane would have been a problem if the Friday game was in Jacksonville but that game is on Tuesday.

When Canouse got injured, Acosta and Marky Delgado filled in at the DM slot. I had only seen Gooch play as a flank guy for the U20s. I had seen some YouTube stuff of him playing support striker for the Sunderland reserves. Andy's joke was funny, but I immediately wondered whether he could play some left back when I saw him this season. I wasn't thrilled with his skill on the ball in wide positions, but I thought he hit several dangerous crosses in good areas. And early crosses, which we haven't gotten from a fullback since The Mayor of Hannover retired.just googled... I think I have some things mixed up.

I've noted what I've seen as Gooch's slowness recognizing what to do when in the middle- or it might be a slowness of skills getting the ball where he needs it to make his next move. When Canouse got injured, Acosta and Marky Delgado filled in at the DM slot. I still don't know why they had it in Jax... no offense... in the beginning of Sep.They're saying only 13,000 tickets sold for Tuesday. Tuesday night at 8PM after a 3 day weekend hurting the soccer family sales.
