I hope this resolves itself. I'm still hoping for nagbe to be useful for qualifying.Rob Usry @RobUsry

This is just like Magic Johnson playing all 5 positions in game 6 of the 1980 NBA Finals. Says a lot.Swag starts for Schalke against Bayern today. Outside of not being in goal, where he plays will be anyone's guess.
I read a funny comment from a German reporter which said that the Schalke coach closes his eye and throws a dart at his formation board and that is where he decides Weston will play![]()
Of course he did.
Was meh for me - hard to get much from it when he was under so little pressure the majority of the time.I just watched some Keaton Parks highlight vids from his first two friendlies. He looks comfortable and not out of place. He is being deployed so far pretty deep and is responsible for playing the ball from the middle of the back.
Rumor has it he ate GarzaI have read multiple people saying the same thing. George Bello physically went from boy to man over the winter. Some one introduced him to weight lifting. He looks so much bigger and older (he was a bit of a baby face so this can happen at his age).
Looks like Zlatan trapped in Crouch's body.
And possibly me trapped in that defender’s body.Looks like Zlatan trapped in Crouch's body.

Great block.
already taken down*Just a cameo for Sargent today.
*Here is an all touch video for Swag against Bayern.

Dang... that's three straight links on this page that are kaput before I got to them.NewlyRetired said:I love Berhalter's demeanor. I hope the first team guys will respond to his style.
This is a behind the scenes look at the Costa Rica game

hmm, I can see the all touch videos being an issue since the Bundesliga appears to be cracking down on them but this link was a US soccer video from their youtube channel.....Dang... that's three straight links on this page that are kaput before I got to them.
I saw a good tweet about Fernando last night.NewlyRetired said:too young :(

FRISCO - Former FC Dallas Technical Director Fernando Clavijo passed away on Friday at his home in Fort Lauderdale, FL after a five-year battle with multiple myeloma. He was 63.
“Our family is deeply saddened by the loss of Fernando, and our heartfelt condolences are with Martha and the Clavijo family in this difficult time,” said FC Dallas Chairman Clark Hunt. “From his days as a player with the U.S. Men’s National team to his time as a coach and technical director in Major League Soccer, Fernando made a significant impact on American soccer.
“But beyond the pitch, his warmth, enthusiasm and joyful spirit made him beloved by everyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed.”
I know nobody knows, but
best we can hope is that Atlanta is trying to work out a deal with Columbus. But Atlanta is going to likely be worried about getting 50 cents on the dollar and might be wary of making a trade.I know nobody knows, but![]()
The U20 World Cup field of teams is now complete.
Brazil, which holds the records for most U20 WC's qualified for, has now missed out on the last two as they and Germany miss out, along with the 2017 winners England, who also did not qualify.
It is surprising but much more for Brazil for me. Qualifying out of Europe is incredibly hard due to the small number of spots.![]()
considering all three have been golden pipelines of youth players for a good stretch (yes, even england)- I'm shocked.
Someone refresh my memory on which of the youth world cups these other counties give a damn about. The U20 World Cup field of teams is now complete.

whichever ones they do well in.Someone refresh my memory on which of the youth world cups these other counties give a damn about.
For the U20 WC, all of them. The U20 WC has had the greatest amount of world class players emerge from out of any youth tournament. It also has the highest concentration of pro scouts of any youth tournament. It is the absolute pinnacle of the game at that level and many countries spend a fortune trying to get in.Someone refresh my memory on which of the youth world cups these other counties give a damn about.
Carleton had a hat trick and an assist today against weak competition but any signs of life have to help De Boer.NewlyRetired said:There has been a small buzz in preseason that Carleton is playing with a serious chip on his shoulder and creating a highlight reel play every practice. He scored a beauty today in a scrimmage

"Sorry Christian, it's not going to work out"well I guess this answers my question as to whether Berhalter built the system to fit his team or will build his team to fit the system

Ben Harreld @blharreld
Intriguing Mihailovic quote from the excellent @usmntonly pod: "What Gregg said at the beginning of camp is each player, if you don't fit the system...you're not really gonna make it here until you do fit the system." March is going to be INTERESTING...
I am bracing myself for something stupid. The start has gone too smoothly"Sorry Christian, it's not going to work out"
Roldan just can't catch a break."Sorry Christian, it's not going to work out"
