After 5 games, all Yanks are on teams that would advance to at least the playoff round of the next phase of Champions League.
I'm going to guess it's also the first time a team has scored 3 goals or more and all of them by US players.Tillman has won back to back Champions League Man of the Matches.
I am going to assume this is the first time that has ever happened for a US player but I don't know for sure.
Now down to 4/1 odds for this seasonLooks like my prediction wasn't as much of a hot take as I thought. Even this season, where he's the clear backup, he's listed at between 16/1 and 20/1 to lead the league in goals. De Jong is close to even money, which is where I'd expect Pepi to end up if he takes over as the starter next season.I think if he stays there, he's a good bet to lead the Eredivisie in goals next season. Kind of wish there was somewhere to place a bet on that before the theoretical odds come down too much.I mean, he's the perfect off-season rumor candidate. Not enough minutes, established vet in front of him, lots of goals in limited time. I'd think most forwards in Holland fit that bill.Fabrizio fanning the flames that Pepi will be in play for a move this winter.
I actually like him staying there- feel like the quality of his runs and consistent ability to finish has improved over there. Plus, de Jong is like 499 years old... Pepi has deserved the increase in starts and minutes this year (eye test... Haven't looked at stats) and is there if/when de Jong gets dinged or goes off form.
Maybe he could break Jozy's record.

Just edited to add Tolkin. Will be a bit slower to remove people...we've had surprising blasts from the past before.1997-ccv, jedi, miles, dejuan jones

I keep reviewing the list each time wondering who should be removed and who should be added.
I feel like we are getting very close to removing Dujuan Jones and Alana Sonora, with Mihailovic and Cannon close behind. Cannon has not been called up in over 2 years, even with Dest hurt.
With Lund fading and Tolkin possibly getting a move to Europe soon, I think I would add Tolkin to the 2002's
My wildest fantasy comes true Sunday morning...

I love everything about this

Solution... Move the USMNT to the EredivisieIn what seems like another addition to the never ending list of things Poch needs to figure out is how in gods name can Tillman be leading EVERY player in the entire Champions League in chances created and still have 0 goals and 0 assists for the US in 17 caps.

I'm not watching, but my lineup is showing Pulisic in the center playing the #10 and Musah to his right in a 4-2-3-1 formation.Pulisic (right wing) and Musah (left half) both start for Milan today
Yes, FotMob originally had the lineup different but changed it once the game started.I'm not watching, but my lineup is showing Pulisic in the center playing the #10 and Musah to his right in a 4-2-3-1 formation.Pulisic (right wing) and Musah (left half) both start for Milan today
Coverage started 2:40 into gameGood news: Tillman, Ledezma and P Aaronson all starting. Pepi and Booth on the bench
Bad News: "Technical difficulties. We will be right back" on ESPN+
4 goals for PSV, none from de Jong. Not usually like that.Even quieter first half for De Jong. Forgot he was playing until they mentioned him very late in the half. Beginning to think that age has caught up with him...which has big implications for Pepi.
To be fair, he did play a part in the set up of the 3rd goal (received Ledezma's pass in traffic and got it to Til).4 goals for PSV, none from de Jong. Actually, not quite - I think Ledezma came off when Pepi went on.We have 5 Americans on the field.
The dude has a motor, for sure. Luis Diaz is another one that never seems to tire.Jedi wore the captains arm band for the first time today for Fulham.
If I am not mistaken, he has played 100% of the league minutes this season.
By all means, keep these reports to yourself. All reports I'm seeing about Milan have been glowing about how the extra MF tactically and specifically Musah in that role has been the difference. He's given them the offense/defense balance chuck and CP haven't been able to do. Reports saying they plan to stick with the tactics and need MF reinforcements for depth... Johnny listed as one of the options.

Ream and Balogun seem like really odd choices for this year. Would definitely have put McKennie and Tillman ahead of them based on club performances.
Aren't Busio and Tessman older than Pepi? I guess he's 'ineligible' for this one since he's nominated for the other?
