US Men's National Team (29 Viewers)

I missed this news. Looks like Johnny got hurt. He did not dress today and he may miss Nations League.

If this is true, I think the simplest change is to call up Zendejas at wing and move Musah back to the midfield.
ONE TIME SWITCH TIME!

bring in Mr Megs
who are you referring to?
Dest

But are we actually allowed to bring someone who wasn't on the preliminary 60 man roster? I'd assume not.

I am so confused... lol

What one time switch are you talking about? There is no Acosta on our 60 man roster FWIW.

oh!!!! now I get it. lol. Thank you

Lucho does not need a one time switch, and he is not on our 60 man roster as he is not yet a citizen.

Hopefully some time this fall he can make his debut for the US if all goes well.

The latest U20 roster looks great. Only missing Cole Campbell from a quick glance.

Good to see Banks is included. Need to keep him involved as often as possible.

Other names include the giant Eyestone and Kochen at keeper. Akinbomi, Westfield, and Wynder at defense, Cremaschi, Soma, Tskaris in the midfield and Kyrol up top.

Just saw that Campbell got hurt. He is not expected back until after the break.

Aaronson Sr subbed at half with a 5.1 rating... Which is awful.
His error led to a goal and Leeds ultimately drew 2-2. Lot of speculation he is losing the starting job. He's been off for a while but his performances of late have bordered on abysmal.

I do wonder about the fact that 2 years ago, we saw the same thing out of him. Decent start to season only to fall off in the 2nd half as the games mounted. Maybe the rigors of the season just wear him down given his play-style.

I give the guy a ton of credit.

He has almost no natural athletic ability, is fairly small and not that strong. He has average (pro level) technical skill set.

He has built a career, that by 24 years old has played in the Bundesliga and EPL and racked up 47 US caps and played in 3 WC games to boot. A career that was almost entirely based on running his balls off.

That all being said, if Poch determines he simply does not have what we need at the international level, I am fine with that. This is as good as he is ever going to get IMO. Effort can only take you so far.

That is 10 in just 19 games this year for Haji.

What a shame that he and Sargent did not stay healthy most of the year. Each could have had a chance to be top scorer in the Championship IMO.

He is a ways off the National Team picture but Charlie Kelman should be looking at a bump in leagues next season.

After his brace today for Leyton Orient, he now has a very healthy 18 goals and 4 assists across all comps this year. I think there is a chance he did enough that QPR (his parent club) may keep him for next seasons Championship run.

Thanks. I just saw the usmnt tracker.
What's troubling to me, with the caveat that I don't watch him a ton... He's basically the same player ability-wise that he was as a kid just playing MLS for the first time. Great hustle and spirit, really good package of skills.. but nothing has elevated.

Musah just had a perfect chance to get his first Milan goal and flubbed it pretty badly
Can pretty much pin it
Good lord... I just saw it. Literally an open goal PLUS two teammates available. Missed everything.
Yeah, it was probably his worst miss so far. It was an easy goal to score, or an easy pass to a teammate.... he did neither.
I've made the mistake of starting this game at the beginning to watch.

Milan are just awful defensively. A bunch of guys bll watching with no interest of covering runners...outside of CP. Offensively, if it's not a break, it's not happening. No movement and no recognition.

Every single team they play, regardless of where they are in the table, are dominant and impose themselves. Milan just does their best to hang on and react.

Eta... It's such a awful watching for a neutral.
And on cue, mighty Como take the well deserved lead.

And CP out of nothing from crazy angle ties it up
Incredible shot.

No surprise it's Reijnders and Pulisic to bring them back. Those two(and Leao at times) are the only offense Milan have.
Tbh, Reijndees has been terrible today. I agree on the season, but really off game for him
He has, but so has most of Milan. That was a good pass though.
Agree.

They're all good enough to pull a moment of quality out of their ***, but the rest of time- especially organizationally, they're a disaster.

Dest went a solid 63 minutes today in his first start in a year. At the time of sub, PSV were up 3-0. He did not have a goal contribution today but looks to have had a solid game statistically including having the most successful dribbles in the game at the time of the sub.

Most importantly he appears healthy.

If you were wondering why Banks is having troubles getting minutes, this is probably why (if it ain't broke don't fix it stat)

Augsburg has the best defensive record of Europe’s top five leagues since the turn of the year I believe.
Two of the three starters in their back three are there on loan. They have buy options on both for very reasonable amounts and I'll be a little surprised if they don't exercise both. Augsburg aren't rich though so they may indeed sell Banks to finance those buys (they can buy both for what Banks will go for).

Peter Bosz to @ESPNnl on Sergino Dest:

"I'm very happy he's back. That boy has been out for almost a year and has now been able to make match minutes for the second time. I think he does that right away at a very acceptable level. I always set the bar very high at Serge, because I think he is an exceptional player. When you see what he has done to all of us, that is such a high level. He still needs a few games to hit that level again, that's why it's so good that he played at such a high level for another hour today."

Johnny Cardoso has dropped out of the USMNT squad for the March international window. It’s decided that he will stay in Seville and continue to recover as he continues to have discomfort.
