Use any players you want league? (1 Viewer)

Hey Folks,

I run a bunch of leagues. While most of my leagues are full, I do have one league that I need 5 owners for. It's a brand new league with a new concept on how to play the game. Here's a link to the league: http://www17.myfantasyleague.com/2010/home/44138#0

Here's some basic information about the league

** 12 teams in one division

** 20 player rosters

** $60 league fee. All league fees minus the site fee ($80) are paid out. League champion gets $400, runner up gets $190, 3rd place gets his money back or $60.

** Regular season runs for 13 weeks and all games are H2H.

** Playoffs run from week 14 through week 16. The top 6 teams make the playoffs and it will run on a Total Points system. You can see how this will work by looking in the Additional Rules section in the League Bylaws.

Where this league gets a little strange, is the fact that each week, the starting lineups change. Not only does the number of players per position change, but the total number of players changes. One week you might start a fairly normal starting lineup of 1 QB, 2 Rb's, 3 WR's, 1 TE, 1 K and 1 Def for a total of 9 players. Then the next you might start 2 QB's, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 2 K's and 2 Def's for a total of 10 players. Then later in the season you might only have to start 6 RB's. The complete list of what the starting lineups will be each week is shown at the bottom of the Additional Rules page under the League Bylaws.

Now I'm sure you're wondering exactly how this will work. Well, to put it in a nutshell, each team can use any player they want. Each team can use Peyton Manning. Each team can use ADP. Each team can use Andre Johnson. Basically what will happen is this, each team will use the FCFS waivers to pickup whatever players they will want to start based on that weeks starting lineups. Since each team can have any player they want, there's no need to hoard players. You can drop Peyton Manning from your roster without worrying about whether or not he'll be available when you want to use him the next week.

Now I know a lot of people feel that this makes it too easy for each owner. But the truth is, since each owner can start any player they want to, this league will really separate the top owners from the guys who think they know what they're doing. Why? Because each week you'll have to use all of your knowledge to decide which players you want to start. Yes, you can just start all the studs, but what if the Packers and the Bears are playing in a blizzard in December? Do you really want to use Rodgers or Cutler or Greg Jennings, etc etc? Probably not. You'll also have to be up on who's starting, who's injured, who's in the dog house, and who's lighting things up. You'll have to keep in mind strength of schedule as well. Because you obviously want to choose the players that go off each week.

The teams that make the right choices, will win each week. The ones that don't, will lose. It's pretty much that simple.

So if any of you want to prove you really are the best FF owner out there, take on a team in this league. To do so, simply send me an email to LoneWolf1023@aol.com. The first 5 people to contact me, get a spot.

PS. If anyone wants to see how I run my other leagues, they can go to my FF web site at http://theultimateownerfantasyfootballleagues.com/. Feel free to click on any of the leagues listed there. You'll see how things work in my leagues. Thanks.

One spot left folks. If you want in this league, you need to let me know ASAP. So send that email before someone else gets that last spot. :goodposting:
