This is how the Rb's stacked up by FP for 2008 in my league. I have loaded my scoring into the VBD app. This is not a personal help post. I am trying to understand that if my scoring variables have ADP, for example, 9th last year, why would he be so far up there. Thomas Jones is an example the other way. I get it is a new year. I get TJ is not predicted to have same amount of TD's. Just seems pretty far off. The league is PPR, 1 per 10 yds (rushing and receiving) 6, 9, 12 pts for TD's depending on length. The VBD rank after putting my scoring is below. Hmmm. Any thoughts or explanations?

Maurice Jones-Drew (01.02)

Steven Jackson (01.05)

Adrian Peterson (01.01)

Ladainian Tomlinson (01.08)

Matt Forte (01.04)

Frank Gore (01.10)

Steve Slaton (01.12)

Clinton Portis (02.06)

Reggie Bush (04.06)

Chris Johnson (01.09)

Michael Turner (01.03)

Brian Westbrook (02.04)

DeAngelo Williams (01.07)

Marion Barber (02.08)

Well, first you should look at the projections for all the players; is Peterson projected to score the most RB fantasy points? If so, he's going to be at the top of the list. If you don't think he'll score that many points, tweak the projections. The other thing to look at is baselines. The Draft Dominator defaults to "Joe's Secret Formula" for baselines; the numbers chosen there are based on a pretty RB-centric view of the world; you should consider them a starting point, but try some of the other options or customize them for your own taste.VBD is just fantasy points over the baseline, so those are your only two variables.
