VBD app and Draft Dominator (1 Viewer)

I have a Mac, which means to be able to do the Dominator I would need to buy a Virtual PC program ($149).

I am wondering what the difference is between the two since I can currently use the VBD without any additional cost. I would love to try it out, but would it really be worth the investment. At this point the Dominator is the only app I would need the Virtual PC program for.

Thoughts?

The Draft Dominator is the best tool for you to keep track of your draft real time. The VBD app generates a cheatsheet, but doesn't help you keep track of the draft or give you any Dynamic VBD.If I were you, I would see if I could borrow a laptop for the day of your draft and just load the Draft Dominator and use that. I don't think it's worth it to spend $149 if your not going to use virtual PC for anything.Heck, you might be able to find a used old laptop on eBay for less than $149. DD probably works with anything that's running at least Windows 98. A Windows 98 laptop can be had for a song these days, I would think.

I agree with saints fan, borrow or pick up a cheap e-bay laptop and use DD.

I utilize VBD with my own projections. I print out FBG VBD. I chart the draft by hand (been doing this for ten years) and know all the players by position that have been taken. IMHO knowing the tendencies of your draft mates is one of the keys to a successful draft. I don't utilize the DD although I here it is an excellent tool. In one league I am in there are two guys that come with laptops in hand. These guys are both utilizing DD with our rules loaded with VBD. I pretty much know by my FBG VBD and who these guys have already taken which players they will be taking with their next picks. This is invaluable. Since these guys have been utilizing DD I have been lucky enoug to do better than both of them over the last several years. In fact last year one of the guys chose Priest with his first pick and Barber with his second pick. Thus having two Rbs in a start two RB league. When it came time around the 6th round and this guy still hadn't picked up LJ I leaned over to him and said " you might want to pick up LJ". He said with a straight face that he was filling out the rest of is squad based on positional need. FBG's VBD didn't have LJ in the top 60 picks. After 60 picks FBG VBD says draft by position list based on need. Well LJ was taken a few picks later. To make a long story short, you can have all the right tools, but if you don't have a little common sense you won't get the brass ring.

Speaking of this, does anyone know when they usually update the projections and VBD App?

Have a draft this Sat, was hoping to squeeze in a recent update before?
