Vernon Davis caught three passes 74 yards and a touchdown in Week 14.Here he comes. Davis rumbled for a 52-yard score, and generally caused havoc in the Packers defense. One 35-yard gain was overturned by a penalty and he was open for a score another time, but Alex Smith underthrew him. Davis is very rough around the edges, but he's a monster once he has the ball. Pick him up and play him Thursday against Seattle
Winslow has been bad the last 3 weeks and next week plays Baltimore who have shut down TEs all year. Davis was a monster out there and might be a good play next week vs Seattle. Just sayin.I got both and I know what Im doing

They're dating?

Winslow owner, and I picked up Davis when Johnson went down and I saw the Baltimore game coming up.

I hope he can do it again next week!

Vernon Davis had 9 passes thrown to him: 3 incomplete, 2 resulting in interceptions, 1 null recep on penalty, and 3 receps of 52, 14, and 8. He's gonna get the looks and is available in some leagues after his injury.

Vernon Davis: The next terrell Owens. Earlier in the season during an away game, he's heading to the locker room late in the 1st half, taunting the crowd with SF down by 20+ points. Yesterday, after the loss, he calls out Alex Smith: "We just made mistakes with throws that should have been higher," Davis said in the Contra Costa Times. "I did what I'm supposed to do: Sell the run, take off and get into the wide corner. I was open. Did you see that? He should have thrown it quicker and a little over the top."

Does your shoulder hurt from patting yourself on the back? Davis got his touchdown against lax coverage just trying to let time run off the clock. It was a good play, but there were times he looked horrible.

 classy stuff. Another ME player, just what the NFL needs.

:o :wall:

It's worth pointing out that Winslow had seven catches for 92 yards the last time the Browns played the Ravens. Might be tougher to put up those numbers with Anderson starting, but I wouldn't completely dismiss his chances of having a decent game.

Scheffler might be the better post-breakout play, facing ARI this week. Cutler targeted him frequently, and it looks like the kid has pretty good hands.

did you actually see the TD in question? seemed like a fairly tough run to me... he broke at least two tackles. and he's right... if smith had thrown him catchable balls, davis could've had 1-2 more big receptions and another TD.
