What does vick's criminal past or off the field history have anything to do with him as a philadelphia eagle now?Hint: Nothing.Get over yourself. Please, to the idiots still getting on Vick for dog fighting, GTFO.
Keep it classy.Would the tools bringing up old #### in a fantasy football thread please shut the #### up? seriously...we get it... you hate him. Cool. Go start a thread in the FFA, throw on your white robes , light your torches and talk about how bad of a person he is. Let's leave the Shark Pool thread to Football discussion please. TIA.
EDIT: was posted earlier in the thread but just trying to get the train back on the tracks. The Eagles breathed a big sigh of relief -- and we mean really, really big -- when X-rays of Michael Vick's left thumb were negative.
Vick injured his left hand -- he's left-handed -- when he banged it into the helmet of center Jason Kelce while following through on a pass in the Eagles' preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night at Lincoln Financial Field. Vick started waving the hand in obvious pain and walked off the field while the Eagles' coaches, players and fans crossed their fingers, and maybe their toes, too.
Backup QB Mike Kafka came in for the next series, adding more angst, as the Eagles' medical team huddled around Vick. But then the QB went to the locker room for X-rays and everything was OK again in Eagleland.
you need to spend another month in the FFA to get a feel for succesful fishing methods.yours is really a poor effort.Over/Under on the Dog Butcherer playing 12 games?
It's a legitimate question given his injury past.you need to spend another month in the FFA to get a feel for succesful fishing methods.yours is really a poor effort.Over/Under on the Dog Butcherer playing 12 games?
You cant read ?Its okay I hear its an epidemic.I dont' know why I'm going to jump in this fishing contest. But yeah Mike is doing nothing is ridiculoushttp://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-20045323-504083.htmlExcellent posting and imo he's not sorry at all for what he's done, just sorry he got caught and lost everything he had, until Andy decided he was a more worthwhile reclamation project than his own kids. And about that vaterp is absolutely right, I havent forgiven him, not saying it wont happen, im not embarrassed at all to needle him every chance I get, no one should ever forget.Hes done a lot, and imo he needs to do more, he was broke coming out of prison, say a few words and have one good game get rewarded with a $100m contract - like nothing ever happened.I'm an animal lover. I couldn't have been more furious at Vick when I found out what happened. But he paid his debt to society, and he's said and done all the right things since being released from prison. If any of you made horrible mistakes and then did what a judge and jury required you to do, you'd hope to be forgiven at some point.
To forgive doesn't mean to forget, mind you. It just means you try to find good in people.
The fact that he is getting sponsors on top of his ridiculous contract have made me even more bitter.

I forgot that the quality of posts in the pool is paramount to everything else.Oh wait, if that was the case there would be a handful of threads with a handful of posts.Would the tools bringing up old #### in a fantasy football thread please shut the #### up?

"Bottom line -
I place an extremely high priority on keeping the Shark Pool a great forum and on topic."
Yeah, that was the joke. Also original account is from '07, definitely not a vet or anything but im certainly not new. Was banned when Vick got his 100m contract. These are my mild observations.New guys... :sigh:From the pinned "Shark Pool" topic:

WHAT A SURPRISE!Could be serious, stay tuned.
Agreed. He can't even make it out of the preseason. 4th round for a QB who could miss multiple games? No thanks. The guy is just undraftable anywhere close to his ADP. Who needs the headache?
Pin this thread.
I thought he was pretty unstartable with vick.Sadly, this also hurts DJax's value. It seems that when Vick is healthy, DJax has good numbers (likely has to do with safety contain and Vick's threat to run). But when Vick is out, DJax numbers make him almost unstartable as anything other than a WR3 in 12+ teamers.
Depends on the type of break, the severity and the number of ribs. Also if there are any major contusions.Anybody know how long a broken rib injury is?

in some cases it can be chronic and last an entire careerAnybody know how long a broken rib injury is?
If you can get him in the 6th round or beyond I think that makes for excellent value. Perhaps this rib injury will provide just that scenario. I'll take his upside and a few missed games and just back him up with another solid qb just in case. Then you can load up at rb/wr/TE and take him in the 6th. Not bad
He was out what 3 games last year for the same thing?Anybody know how long a broken rib injury is?
There are better QBs available later that dont miss any time.If you can get him in the 6th round or beyond I think that makes for excellent value. If you can snag him late and back up with a Freeman or Cutler, I say swing for the fences.

Is that you Mathew Berry?I forgot we only count 2010, specifically the 3 good games he had. One of the best episodes of Happy DaysDidn't he miss some time in 2010 with broken ribs? Maybe 3 or 4 games? Think he broke thme against the skins, when 2 guys did "THE MALACHI CRUNCH" on him.

He would have to fall pretty far to end up the QB12...Atm his ADP is QB6, which puts him pretty far up there in terms of being over rated.not on a per-game basis...and I think that's the point of his post. There are better QBs available later. If you can get him in the 6th round or beyond I think that makes for excellent value. Spot on. I like his upside as a QB1 for QB2 value. I'd take him QB 12 and then take my backup within the next rd or two. Allows me to stack up in other positions, and have a guy that can play as a top 5 QB any week. Good value is all I am saying.
Obviously this isn't the norm, but I took him as qb11 in a draft this past Saturday. He was my backup to Matt Ryan though, so I felt ok with taking the risk.He would have to fall pretty far to end up the QB12...Atm his ADP is QB6, which puts him pretty far up there in terms of being over rated.not on a per-game basis...and I think that's the point of his post. There are better QBs available later. If you can get him in the 6th round or beyond I think that makes for excellent value. Actually he's been falling pretty far. I just snagged him as QB12 in the 7th round of a 12-team league as well. If anything, this game should keep him plummeting farther.Obviously this isn't the norm, but I took him as qb11 in a draft this past Saturday.
