(first off, somebody get this sissy an umbrella for his girly drink)

ESPN just reported that Vick was seen drinking at an airport. Goodell apparently wrote a letter to this fraud saying alcohol or drug use would cause him to not be reinstated.

This is so stupid if he actually has a letter saying he can't have a drink. He was not accused of drunk dog fighting. The guy served his time, is trying to get his life back in order. He was having a drink, big deal.

you'd risk $5m to have a chick drink in public if the commish told you it would be a condition of reinstatement?

In a letter to Vick upon his conditional reinstatement on July 27, commissioner Roger Goodell told the quarterback that "prohibitions regarding drug and alcohol use" were included in as conditions.

Which is true? It would not surprise me if Goodle said well Vick you drinked you can't come back. That is just the kind of ####### i think he is. But i think as much hate as there is out there for Vick for Goddel to do that would just be plain wacky.

My point is he should not be banned from having a drink.

Which could easily mean - don't do drugs (illegal, duh) and don't get a dui. Other players can maintain eligibility after such infractions, but not Vick. Makes sense.

If he told Vick in advance that he couldn't drink and Vick not only did it, but did it in public, then Vick doesn't have a leg to stand on. Vick's the guy trying to get reinstated by proving that he can do things right.Remember, this is the same guy that smoked pot when he was awaiting sentencing.

Trying to make sense of this will just confuse you more...

A good friend of mine brought this up... I'm not great at math, but check out my formulas here:

Unregistered Weapon + Shoot yourself= 20 months

Multistate Dogfighting ring + Animal Cruelty = 18 months

Drive drunk + Kill pedestrian = 30 days

Did I miss something by bailing out on that 2nd semester of Calc?

What kind of parallel universe did I just wake up in???

We get it - Stallworth got off easy. That really has nothing to do with Vick or this thread.

Any proof of this letter?

Espn showed a portion of his probation papers that said "no excessive alcohol use" and no drug use.

Is vodka and juice really excessive?

Yeah, you'd have to be a real idiot to do something like that......uh......nevermind.

I can't believe people are still making comparisons like this. It has been explained over and over that these are completely different circumstances. What is wrong with you?

The juice is excessive, I'd just gone with vodka?I hope the guy didn't ruin his chance by drinking. Also, who actually tells on him? Bizarre.

I, for one, am glad to see Vick being so conscientous about his vitamin C intake. Pineapple juice is both nutricious and delicious. It's also full of fiber, so he can poop with regularity.

Let's look at who was on the other side in these cases:1. NYC District Attorney2. Feds 3. Florida local prosecutorWhere and how you commit a crime is usually more important than the severity of the crime. Also for #3, the victim was determined to be partially responsible for his own death. Turns out jaywalking is sometimes not such a good idea. But let's say for argument that a drunk Stallworth ran over an NYC pedestrian jaywalking on 5th avenue and Burress shot himself in a bar in Texas. Who gets more jail time then?

what do you think will result in more damage? getting behind the wheel at .12, or discharging a firearm, without aiming, in a crowded club.

well a firearm that is not pointed anywhere but at what is inside your pants will do more damage then your average person that drinks more then once a week behind the wheel i will say. especially for a professional athlete that can probably be sober around a .15, personally after 3 beers at a .08 i wouldn't even notice that I have been drinking anything yet being a 230 lb 6'4" guy.
