Video Game guitar help needed. (1 Viewer)

So my 9y/o son got hooked on Guitar Hero arcade game at the beach and asked me to get it for our 360. I picked up about eight different Guitar Hero and Rock band games (including rock band 3?, Metallica, and Beatles) and I have no idea what guitar (if any) works for all of them. Also, I think one of the rock bands can teach you how to actually play, so I am assuming I will be buying a separate one for that game. Tia. Also, is eBay or amazon the place to buy? Stores don't seem to have them anymore.

All of the guitar hero stuff works on those fake plastic guitars. I'm sure you can find one on amazon

As for real guitar, there's a game out there called Rocksmith that allows you to learn real guitar in a similar fashion.

Electric guitar plugs in just like an amp, to the 360, via an adapter. It's actually really cool.
