I swear, Joe Buck is the absolute worst.Pennington scrambles for the 1st down. Camera pans the crowd. The seats are 2/3 empty, lots of people looking bored, yawning, two guys are sitting there mildly clapping.

This crowd is going bonkers.

Dunno why but the Fox pregame music got me more excited than any of the other preseason games so far. Maybe because Fox carries the Seahawk games but for the first time this preseason I got chills of anticipation. Plus Fox continues their eclectic musical selection, having Modest Mouse (Seattle band no less) "Float On" going in and out of commercials. A decidedly non-football song. And now they have Tim Armstrong (of Rancid) with his new solo ska song "Into Action" while the Fox robot gyrates. Severely OT but if you like old school ska/reggae check out the new album. His backing band is the Aggrolites and they have the same ska sound, which is weird because they look like bat wielding SoCal punks. Good stuff.

Anyway back to football.

Seriously, Penny should have checked that ball down to the RB about 5 seconds before he actually threw it.

I don't know about that... It looked like a good option at first, but it took Pennington too long to get rid of it. Once he did and you saw the LB come into the picture it was obvious though. Probably good that Pennington didn't get it out a bit sooner, though, because Washington might still be down.
