VINCE YOUNG: (you a believer) (1 Viewer)

Why?

Cause, really what does the Titans have to lose? Are they a playoff calibure team....NO. Why would they wait why scrub-bucket VOLEK eases Vince into the role. I dont see.
Floyd Reese and Jeff Fisher(and likely the rest of the coaching staff) will be out the door if the Titans have another disappointing season.

THATS what they have to lose.

Im not disagreeing that Vince should be the guy though. I think even now hes capable of winning more games than Volek is capable of.

The Titans have a pretty good roster this year though outside of the QB and RT positions. Im not sure why they can't go somewhere between 7-9 and 8-8 with a Kerry Collins at QB.
Please listen to Diesel. Fisher is really close to getting the hook as dumb as it sounds. Fisher is playing for his job this season.
Please explain to me how playing a rookie QB, one who even his most passionate supporters acknowledge has some developing to do, is going to save Fisher's job? I'll hang up and listen.
Because the owner wants to play Vince, so Fisher would be making the owner happy. Plus, Fisher would have a built in excuse (rookie QB) if they lose with Vince that he does not have with Volek. Also, Fisher could then arguer that it would hamper Vince's development to have to learn a new offensive system due to a coaching change.

No...I don't believe he starts the season, and I don't want him too, either.Yes...I do believe he'll be a superstar.
:lmao: Scots...I think the NFL should hire your cat (in your avatar) and let him/her teach defenses how to tackle. Awesome form!

:lmao: I can just see the conversation between Adams and Fisher in January after their 4-12 season behind Young:

ADAMS: Jeff, for the 3rd year in a row, we've failed to win six games. I'm very concerned that we're not taking steps forward.

FISHER: Yes, but Mr. Adams, I started Vince Young all year. Doesn't that make you happy?

Sorry, but Fisher needs wins, and his style is to develop young QB's slowly as we saw with McNair. He's not going to start Young short of a direct order from McNair, and even then if I were Fisher in that situation I'd tell McNair to piss off and start Volek anyway so that I'd be seen as the coach whose owner meddled with my leadership as a way of preserving my reputation and hireability come next offseason.

I was really impressed with Vince Young's maturity from his sophomore year to his junior year, in the Michigan game people were literally calling for the backup QB,
:lmao: :lmao: You lost every shred of whatever small amount of credibility you had right there. The only folks calling for Vince's backup were the Michigan faithful, the Texas haters and pure idiots. Texas fans already knew what Vince could do from games earlier in the season.

I'm a believer. I believe that he can't read defences and will, when it's all said and done, be one of the biggest busts of all time(right down there with Akili Smith and Ryan Leaf).

Doubtful that he sees any significant playing time this year IMO. Fisher needs wins. That being said, I think VY will be a great NFL QB in about 5 years. I think he's going to be what everyone wants Vick to be.

I hope he doesn't start from day 1, but I also hope he sees a lot of playing time over the second half of the season.

And this will surprise noone, but I am a BELIEVER!! Vince will be a superstar in the NFL. It is only a question of when, not if.

Mort says 3-4 years, I say 2-3 years. Here is my prediction: Vince struggles this year but plays a lot in the second half of the season, struggles some early next year, playing decently to very well by end of next year, star in his 3rd year.
