Vincent Jackson update? (1 Viewer)

Last news I heard he would start running Monday Dec 6th. I havent heard anything since. Does anyone have any idea how he is progressing and when he might get to play (Assuming you think he will play eventually)

I have some important moves I need to make to my backup roster and sure could use the information as I am sure others are probably in the same boat.

Homers? Anyone?

I think it's all a fake. I doubt he takes the field for any meaningless time this year.
Me too. And if you can't see trusting a guy to start him what's the point of rostering him during the playoffs. He cost me a little drop/add money but he's gone tonight with no regrets.

I'm still holding on, but am getting more inclined to drop him. It was such a great setup, and now it seems a Catch 22. Hold him, and possibly start him with minimal evidence he's healthy and will be involved, and he does nothing. Drop him, and some other guy picks him up and starts him, and he goes off against you. Fudge!

He comes back 1 week and gets hurt in two plays. I dropped him like a stone.
Same, how can you trust the guy. Whether you believe he's faking or not, he ran 2 plays and had to come off, he's not someone I want to put all of my hard work for from an entire season into. It has nothing to do with talent, I just don't trust him or his mindset at this moment.

He's likely to miss this week according to all of the reports. If you manage to win your week 14 playoff matchup, then I would only start him out of desperation in week 15 IF he is even ready. I can see the Chargers more likely just easing him into the lineup. Best case scenario is a full workload in week 16, and not sure I can trust him to win me a championship if he hasn't been on the field very long.

Jackson back to practice

The Chargers might be getting some good news going into Sunday's must-win game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wide receiver Vincent Jackson is practicing. At least he took part in the individual period, appearing to run without any hindrance from the right calf strain he suffered two weeks ago in Indianapolis.

Jackson was on the field just two plays against the Colts before pulling up. He has not practiced since and there was little optimism as late as Wednesday that Jackson would be good to go against the Chiefs.

Whether he goes the full practice today or Friday will say a lot about whether he actually plays.

Nicks and now VJax? Its a Christmas miracle!!Thank you Baby Santa Jesus!! :pickle: :pickle: :pickle: :pickle: :pickle:
Can you really trust VJax this week even if he plays? Nicks I'll play because he has been a proven stud this year. VJax I need to see him get through a game first.

More confident in Nicks than VJax, but if we get a positive VJax Friday practice update, I will strongly consider. Gotta go down guns blazing..

SD writers reporting VJAX said he is going to play

Vincent Jackson was limited today, but barring any setback says "I will definitely play on Sunday."

Vincent Jackson said he expects to play Sunday versus Chiefs. As long as things go smoothy tomorrow, will be "good to go."

He's alright but he's no Seyi Ajirotutu.VJax

I am one of the potential foolish.

Lucky enough to have a bye this week I cannot help but think of the damage he can do. I would love to see him out there for 50% of his snaps this week getting ready for week 15.

As for trust? As a #3 I sure do.

I am probably not starting him until he shows his work on the field but I am not beyond picking him back up to keep him from my opponents. Jackson has a cake schedule after this weeks game.

Vincent Jackson (calf) participated in Chargers practice again Friday.Barring setbacks -- a scenario not difficult to imagine considering V-Jax's recent history -- the contract-year wideout is expected to be active for this week's matchup with Kansas City. Jackson's talent is undeniable, but ideally we'd want to see him reestablish health before rolling the dice in the fantasy playoffs. He's a risk-reward WR3 heading into Sunday.Source: Kevin Acee on Twitter
I'm starting him.

I'm leaning towards starting him over MSW (banged up +Asomugha), Obo (has yet to pratice, but IT'S ONLY A CUT!!!), or DA (just as big a risk for a zero as VJax?).

Not sure if I'm going to start him. I'm down 23-3 going into this weekend thansk to Tamme only getting me 3 points & CJ2 getting my opponent 23. I have to pick 3 of Marshall, Fitz, Harvin, Bennett, VJ & Obomanu.

Alright, who is everyone going to sit this week in order to start this guy?
Exactly... if you have quality options go ahead and skip VJ.But I lost Dez so VJax is going for me over Obomanu, Bennett, or Burleson. I imagine others of you have tougher decisions than this.Huge upside at WR3. Swing for the fences, gents.

I have a first round bye in my Dynasty League so I am holding out hope that my early season trade for him will pay dividends the following week. Fortunately I can take a wait and see approach. I did drop him for J Stewart in a weekly league where I needed the RB depth.

Probably starting him over Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith (NYG), and Jacoby Ford... Thanks to Tamme's 3 points, I'm in a hole already and need to swing for the fences.

I'm debating whether to start him or Cedric Benson against Pit. I'd really like to sit Benson given the match-up... (I also have Harvin available but he's looking doubtful.)

Question: Could he be trying to push it because this game is so important? Could he be getting pushed by teammates because this game is so important?

If so, he could end up on the sidelines after 1 play instead of 2 this time.

I wouldnt start him until he has a full game under his belt. I also have Rice and going with him.

I have a bye this week in the league I own him, but even if I didn't I would not consider starting him until he shows us he can stay healthy and put up numbers for a game. If he can do that, I will be comfortable starting him in my WR3 spot come next week. However, I am optimistic he is going to stay healthy this game. I don't think he would play unless he thought he could handle it, especially after how that turned out last time.

I also have Rice/Fitz and VJax, on a bye this week but if I had to choose I would be going 1/ Rice 2/ Fitz 3/ VJax. VJax has got to show you something first unless your other options are really poor. I'll be surprised if he has a significant impact this week.

Got to choose between him and Nicks. Hope this situation clears itself up this weekend.
That situation couldn't be any clearer: One of them is a stud WR who has put up points all season and is going to give it his all this week, and the other one is a bum who you shouldn't even be considering quite yet.

Agree with this, Jackson is good, but I think people's value of him has increased too much while he has been out.

This is the only answer, people. You have to be insane to start him after the big FU he gave everybody against the Colts. He needs to work his way back into my circle of trust in a big way.

I got burned two weeks ago when I started Jackson (0 points) over Johnny Knox (13 points). I won't do that again until I see something from Jackson.

In: Andre Johnson, Johnny Knox, and Steve Smith - CAR (just have a hunch with Smith)

Out: Jackson, Danny Amendola

I just want the WR that's healthy and will have the best chance to score points. I'm not under the impression that VJax is equal to Nicks, but want to start the guy who gives me the best chance to win. If Nicks is healthy enough to play I obviously start him, but if he's not and V Jax is I want to make sure I have VJax starting. It's not about who's better when healthy or who is or is not more committed.

V-Jax already cost me a $2,000 trip to Vegas in week 12 with his 0 and now I have to decide if I trust him enough with my playoff games on the line ?

Wow.
