...if you haven't already. I'll be starting him over Brees and Penn. He's at home, hungry and poised to go off.

When you find money on the street, you pick it up.

Get him active

Oh Ya...2 days to learn the playbook that'll do it. Here's a sample of the plays he's learnt to date;1,hand it off to Foster2, throw it out of bounds.

Carr is probable, and the Panthers are playing @ Arizona.

Latest news is that Carr's back tightened up on the team flight to AZ and Vinny may start....
Tell'em PasguinoThese guys will regret sleeping on this one. I urge any owners with waivers still available, to pick him up.

Is this one of those ridiculous calls where it's so outlandish that everyone will just ignore it if your wrong and if you're right you'll bump it on Sunday?

Umm no, it's not one of those.
So, out of curiosity, on what basis do you think that a 43 year old QB who hasn't played a down of football all year and has been with his team a matter of days is "posied to go off"?

The Panthers are 3-2 this year with all 3 wins coming on the road. They've got 2 solid RB's that they can keep fresh throughout the game, a hungry Smith who is looking for a new arm and a strong O-line. Vinny may have only been in town for a few days but he's a veteran warrior. Look for good numbers.

not if it's covered in dog poop.in honesty though... considering this move myself. Currently going with Culpepper in a league where everyone is crazy about QBs, but may go w/ Vinny. Still have more than 16 hours to think about this.

I am sorry to say that I am starting him in a league with HUGE rosters where my only QBs in a summer draft where Delhomme, Leftwich and a bunch of backups none of whom are starting this week.

I want Moore to get a chance. I am tried of watching these first round QBs like Carr, Herrington, and Leftwich get multiple chances when they really don't deserve them.

I have nothing against the guy but man he has nt had a training camp , been with the Panthers for 3 or 4 days is over 45

( maybe i am wrong i did nt check ) .

Poor Steve Smith , if Carolina scores 3 pts today i will be surprised ( Unless good special teams plays ).

David Carr (back) was downgraded to questionable for Week 6.

Carr's back stiffened up on Friday during the Panthers' team flight to Arizona. Vinny Testaverde is expected to get the start if Carr can't play Sunday, instead of rookie Matt Moore. Carr will be a game-time decision. A Vinny start would be rough news for Steve Smith owners - the team would focus on the run.

I am doing it, but it is a pure Hail Mary.

Been living on Kitna all year, with Delhomme and Carr as my main "bye week" QBs. My options were either Carr or Kellen Clemens, so I'm really not risking that much to pickup and start Vinny. That's what I'm telling myself, anyway. Here's hoping!

desperation move... only QB on waivers avail. I am playing him. I hope he at least doesn't lose me points...

David Carr, QB CAR

News: According to a report on ESPN, QB Vinny Testaverde will start for the Panthers against Arizona. David Carr is dealing with a back injury and his status for Sunday's game is uncertain, but it appears he will miss the game if the report is accurate.

Same boat. Only other QBs out there are McNair (game time decision), and the Vikings QBs.GO VINNY!

They guy went out there and lead his team to victory...gutsy performance, managed to stay on the field. We literally had a battle of 3rd string QBs after Warner went down in that game today.

What can you say other than wow?

They can't go back to Carr. Vinny looked better than Carr ever has with onlt 3 days in the offense. No one in thier right mind would start Carr again.

Hi Chase.
 Anyhow, the ol'warhorse got it done today. Not huge numbers but better than what some starters have been putting up. More importantly, he looked pretty good out there and Steve Smith is getting involved. He also opened up the running game. With 2 weeks to learn the playbook don't be surprised to see Vinny upset the Colts at home in 2 weeks. Coming in with less than a week to get prepared he's certainly looking like an upgrade over Carr.Prediction26-40 248 2 1Panther 31 Colts 24
